I work from home, and nothing.... Let me go look outside my door in case I didn't hear the bell....
Nope - nada
No one home right now. Red will be there before me :nono2: . She will probably open it too .
nothing here today
Hello everyone. I'm looking forward to the adapter and participating in the field trials!
It'd be nice if it arrives today, I'm leaving in the morning for 7 days.
Will people be able to purchase these directly from D* in the future, or will they only be available via computer stores...
I'll probably connect it to my HR21-200. It downstairs in my office where my equipment is and the PC. Everything will be in one room.
Thanks to the mods and DirecTV for being a part of this. It's been awhile since I've been in a field test. I'm looking forward to it.
Anytime Stuart. Just so you know though - the physical discipline rule is in effect.
I actually pondered, but after I installed SWMLine, I was replacing an old TiVo anyway, and it was $99 for the R-16 at the time or $169 at Costco for HR21-700.
Rest assured the kids have no HDTV though.
Another toy to play with!
I have very dedicated wiring to my HR20-700 and HR21-100 both in the living room. I have a thrown down wire to my HR20-100 in the bedroom and have been meaning to clean it up. That will be the machine I use the wireless on.
The box I want to connect this to is one that I haven't used for CEs...is one of the "15 series" updates required for testing these fully because I noticed that in 15:1 it says
01 - Support for Cisco Wireless Bridge (WGA600N) - plugs into Ethernet port
What's so funny?
Was actually going for that in a different thread. Sorry about that.
you need the latest CE
That's what I thought...so hopefully there is one tomorrow ...sounds like the bridges aren't showing up today anyway...
Hi all. I am going to test it on my bed room HR20-700. I can then compare it to the hard wired HR20-700, in the living room.
I just realized that by putting the living room HR21-700 on wireless I'll be able to turn off the Linksys hub I've been forced to use to expand the number of connections to my router. I'll also be able to take down the cable that's been strung between the living room and the computer room.
Since this is an adapter I could buy anywhere, is it OK to show it in my setup, or would you prefer I keep it quiet during the field trial?
Just as long as you don't take anything down until you've tested the wireless.
Especially Video MediaShare if this applies to you.
