Does anyone know if an H25 DTV receiver will work with the 18" round dish from DTV? I go to a fishing camp in Canada that had the dish setup with an old RCA receiver that died. I was going to sell them my H25 but the setup they had was a simple dishtoreceiver coax then into the TV. No HD, they didn't use much so they're not looking for special setups. thanks.

The round dish does not get HD channels.
The H25 requires a SWM setup. Example: A Slimline 3 dish with a SWM LNB and a Power Inserter.

I believe it is not supposed to be used in Canada.

Do you own the H25? If not, you can't sell it, and your friend can't use it on their account, either.

The fact that you are using this in Canada violates the ToS of DIRECTV and as such we can't discuss stuff like this not his boards.

Aside from the multiple violations of the terms of service, technically it won't work witout a SWM switch,
