H2 was replaced by Viceland for everyone you can find more details here:
    http://h2nowviceland.com/

According to the FAQ on their site, some shows like Ancient Aliens, Modern Marvels and The Universe will be moving to History.

Not to make premature judgements, but Vice looks to be just as poor as feared early on...

    #1: What language is that?

#2: If you really watched the H2 channel, you would have known about this happening. It is truly a disgrace, one of the few good channels is now gone.

But don't blame DirecTV. A&E Networks, owner of H2 decided to discontinue it in the U.S. and replace it with Viceland. I've read they are still making H2 available in other countries, but not here.

I went to this site and voiced my displeasure. Everything has gone down hill since the days of DiscoveryWings and History International and Military Channel / AMH and now H2. Criminey. More pop culture, food and reality garbage.

    *sigh*

If they'd just go back to history in the history channel...

I've found no programming worth using my time on since the change. I've removed it from my Favorites list.
It's made for Milennials that doesn't watch linear programming anyway. Until broadcasters/advertisers realize this, we will continue to get this crap.

    Couldn't agree more!

Checked out the guide listings for as far as they went out, saw nothing of interest and zapped it from my Favorites as well.

This Vice channel is truly one of the worst ideas for a channel ever.

Its target audience is probably in jail.

Perhaps viewing it is part of their punishment.

Let's be honest, H2 had turned into a garbage channel as well.

Perhaps a dumping ground (reruns and content that would not fit on other channels) but not a garbage channel. There were some shows there that were good.

As for Viceland ... I only recall seeing positive posts about the channel from one poster. And while I agree with the "to each their own" attitude of not demeaning other people's viewing choices, apparently we are not offending too many people when speaking out against Viceland. (And I am not sure that person is a "fan" of Viceland or is just defending some of the content on the Internet.)

In any case, there are literally hundreds of channels to watch. Mourn the loss of H2 if you watched it. Find another channel if you don't like Viceland.

It could be that negative feedback is more common than approval feedback. It's like posts about ESPN.... it's usually people complaining about the cost and how they don't want it. I enjoy Vice's news, so gave the channel a shot and enjoyed a few shows. Unfortunately there's a lot of repeats since they're new.

It's the morons driving A&E these days. They are completely and overly obsessed with the 18-49 age group. So much so, they were willing to not only throw away one of their most popular shows and over 6 MILLION viewers in Longmire, stating they felt the viewer's age group was "too old", but now toss away what was still a halfway descent channel(even though they tried hard to ruin it) for a 2 bit channel filled with junk, of which their prized age group probably won't watch anyway because they have already cut the cord. Besides, you can see most if not all of what they are showing, on the Vice streaming app, on demand anyway. Why even bother?

From the bits I have seen, A&E viewership has been suffering, hence why you see so many new shows these days. They are in the mode of throw a bunch of cr@p at the wall and see what sticks.

Yeah, I love that everyone does everything for the 18-49 age group but for at least 1/2 that time those folks have no money to buy for anything. But that is what is important for someone
