I have done a reset several times and the guide will display correctly for a few hours then regular schedule displays again. I did a on line re activate with similar results.

I did a system check and it displays Error Code 12-182. call 1-800, 531 5000. I called and was told nothing could be done as I do not subscribe to a maintenance agreement.

I have three receivers a H20/100, H20/200 and a standard def RCA. I have been a DTV subscriber for over 20 years and feel DTV should just replace the H20/100 with a equal value unit.

As the lady said she could not replace the receiver I cancelled the sub for the H20/100. I may just order a new HD standard unit however I feel it would be unfair to lock me in for two more years of DTV service and $99 for a replacment receiver when its the HD20/100 problem .

Error 12 is a problem with the tuner. the receiver SHOULD be replaced. if you don't have the PP then you pay ~$20.00 to cover S&H. Call them again and ask for a supervisor or retention.

Call them back and talk to them again. They should replace that receiver for you . Did you tell the CSR what the error code is ?
Each time you call you will get a different service person and probably a different answer.

Thanks. called back and got a supervisor. DTV will replace the H20/100 unit. I do have to pay $20.00 shipping., I was told no extension of 2 years continuous service will apply.. DTV does not want the H20/100 returned. So I shall trash it.

Yup! Just use the "30 second rule" as I call it.

When I call DirecTV customer service within the first 30 seconds I determine if I have been connected with a "customer service rep" or a "customer DIS-service rep". In the latter case I simply hang up, get a drink of water, and call back!!! Very rarely have I gotten a DIS-service rep twice in a row.
