Our friends at DIRECTV have told us that the diagnostic reports are incredibly helpful. Please submit one every time, if you are networked. Even if you have rebooted or if it has been hours or days, these reports can still help.

Note: you can now enter the Misc. Options screen through Parental, Favs and Setup.

A reminder on how to use Network Diagnostics reporting:
To activate, do a Keyword search for IAMANEDGECUTTER

*** Network must be properly set up and working to use this feature ***
    1. Use the Menu+Info keys on the DVR to get to the Misc Options screen or Enter the Misc. Options Menu through the Parental, Favs and Setup Menu
    2. Select the Report option
    3. Click on Send
    4. You will receive a confirmation key in your response.
*** Please include this key in any post you make in the issues thread ***
    5. Please note that you can only send one report per hour
    6. If you do not have a network connection, you will not have this option

Ok. I can stay up for a little bit yet. Was hoping to be able to see something in case the push failed so I could help troubleshoot the issue.

The receiver was tune to channel 74 and was on put on standby at 8:00pm PST. All of the push software that i have received on the H21 has been done with the receiver in standby mode (off/). FYI

Did not get the push, still on 430c.
Rebooted at 10pm as requested. Tuned to SD channel (NASA channel). Was up until around midnight to see if I saw something weird, did not.
About 11:45 I unplugged it and restarted it but it didn't detect new software.

Too bad as I am going to be hammering it tomorrow during Sunday Ticket, would be a good test.

    Diag. Report # 20080906-21A7

Received the push w/o issue @ 11:15 PM. Continued to have the issue of the recurring Auto Tune re-enabled for the next week. Have to reconfigure the channels in Antenna Setup (all channels were selected - in this area there are a number of "extra" PBS stations that show up that I don't really get). I also had a new quirk - Internet connection was not live after the reboot. Going into Network and checking Advanced Setup (all was correct) and then selecting Connect Now fixed the issue and it has remained connected. I also saw a quirk in that the Signal Meter was showing Not Acquired on the first channel. I selected + for several subchannels and was getting Not Acquired but on the 4th or 5th channel, the Signal Meter started working and has remained functional.

Other than these issues, everything else seems to working. Media Share (music) is fine. Menu speed seems quick. Good work.

    No real problems here.
This time the video worked after the push. :hurah:

"Mild" network issues with all of my DVRs, which was a reason to reboot this receiver last night, as I needed to completely reconfigure my DSL modem, router, and everything connected.

Received last night's push release. No issues noted so far.

All my OTA channels were selected after the download, instead of just the ones I had selected previously. Tested this with a menu reset - lost the edits again, so it's caused by the reset not the download itself. I need to check this on the HR20 to see if it's only in this CE.

So far I haven't seen anything else that's a problem, but will be using it all day tomorrow so we shall see.

I checked the HR20 (this weekend's CE) and the HR20 DOES carry forward the edits. But I have posted before, the HR20 often does not do it correctly if you have two channels with the same virtual channel number, so maybe the whole process is being re-designed. Or maybe it's an H21/AM21 bug.

I know I'm still on 430c but call me very disappointed at how much slower the UI is for the ST interactive stuff. It was so fast on the old UI, so enjoyed it. I'm actually using my HR20 now as it's actually faster.

Issue: Unit was black out of standby. A simple channel change cleared the issue.

My H21-200 is getting A LOT of use today with football.

Side Note: I also ran a direct OTA feed today (instead of diplexing) and I am rather impressed with tuner sensitivity.
