and so is NBC, once again in the basement with the worst PQ of any station broadcasting the NFL. It is like I am watching it from 5 years ago, before it was perfected......:nono2:

I'm getting audio dropouts every few minutes on the DTV side. When I switch to my antenna feed, everything is great.

First preseason game, and T.O. tells Andrea Kramer, "I'm Batman, and Chad is Robin!" ... and the collapse in Cincinnati has already begun!!!

I haven't seen the game yet but do you really want to see Chris Collinsworth in HD?

I wonder if FOX will improve its PQ this year. Last night was great, and we all know how good CBS is... FOX and ESPN are the laggards in this area.

I'm not sure the picture quality issues are really DIRECTV's fault. Isn't it possible that NBC is just sending an inferior picture to DIRECTV?

Agreed Stuart, and I should have been more clear. IMO, NBC always has the worst PQ for their football telecasts compared to CBS, ESPN, FOX, ABC....

Don't think it is D* at all.

NBC has greatly improved since their move to MPEG-4. Most issues are local, rather than national.

I Do not think the stadium in Cincinnati is big enough for all that ego.

I have no complaints about this game. I have only four wishes for the upcoming season:

    1. Colts success
    2. Jaguars failure
    3. FOX pregame/halftime produced in HD (won't happen this year)
    4. 5.1 surround for NFL Network games (they tried it last year, but had issues)
