I signed up for HBO today on D*. I asked the front line CSR what deals they had and he offered me 50% off for 6 months ($18/2=$9 per month). I took the offer.

I am setting up HBO Go on my Amazon Firestick and I noticed the listing online of devices for my HBO account. Does anyone know how many distinct streams I can employ. The HBO web site only states that "the number of simultaneous streams is limited for security reasons".

I found some references on google that it was either two or three simultaneous streams. I will try it in my house to determine the exact number.

I received a "Order Details" email in my inbox as the web site no longer provides that level of detail. Rather than a 50% discount on a $17.99 list price, they are giving me a $8 discount. Okay it is just a buck more but what type of company operates that way? Do you know any other large company that operates like that?

I tried three simultaneous streams at my house and it works fine.

I'm gonna guess the agent wasn't paying attention and is used to the Starz/Cinemax/Showtime deals that are 50% off for either 6 to 12 months ($13.99-$7 = $6.99).
