I agree. Leave it up to the viewer to distort the image to their heart's content.
If your TV is prone to burn-in and it cannot stretch content on its own, then it is not a "very good" TV.
Do not make me suffer because the TV you bought has a problem portraying common content without damaging itself.
I'm updating my favorites - where was the 'old' SD channel? I was going to remove it so I wouldn't have duplicates but I can't find it.
Same channel...if you have Hide SD Duplicates on, then it is removed for you.
ugh. how unfortunate. I will say one thing for BIO HD. they have a really good scaler, because everything looks REALLY good on this channel, just unfortunate about the stretching.
They have shown some HD in primetime. Looks like stuff made in 2007 tends to be HD.
...yeah, and if only BioHD had some real HD content. Everything I've seen to far is stretch-o-vision.
The Borgraphy show at 8PM central has been showing real HD content and sometimes in the couple hours afterwards, it's not all stretch-o-vision.
But most of it is unwatchable stretched crap, which makes the "hide SD duplicates" option unusable. As bad as the SD channel looks, it still looks better than the blurry stretched 1080i channel.
I watched it last night and it looked fine to me maby stretched but better then my tv can stretch sd . ilike a&e network
