I haven't had the HD Extra Pack for a few months but when I goto my account and select HD EXtra Pack-it says first months free?

I have already had this offer but wonder if I will be charged even though it says 3 months free? I am assuming I could argue if they try to charge me.

I canceled the HD Extra Pack about 3 months ago and activated the free trial a few days ago. Just click on the free trial button and you are good for 3 months but you will have too call to cancel it or they will start charging for it after the free trial. After you activate go to recent activity and it should indicate the free trial.

I shouldn't see that FREE section if it's not free correct? I guess it is only $4.99 if they decide to charge me.
I will hit the button :)

Am I the only one actually paying for the HD Extra Pack?

The HD Extra Pack is a joke if you ask me. The CI channel in my case would be the only channel I would be interested in. The other two channels to me are nothing but junk. Just another way to waste your money lol

No thanks. The folks at HDNet Movies know how to respect film...the folks at Epix do not. I'd rather not watch butchered versions of great movies.

I tried Epix for over a month free with Fios. Watched about one movie on it. If it did not increase my cost, fine. But it was pretty boring. Watch more MGM and HDNet than I did Epix.

I watch a lot of HDNet Movies, MGM, and Smithsonian. I tired to watch Hallmark Movie Channel but I won't be watching it anymore because there are WAY too many commercials. I haven't seen anything on Universal or Crime & Investigation that I want to watch. I have absolutely no interest in Paladia.

FWIW, I find the 3 channels I watch worth the monthly fee. I just wonder why I'm paying for it when everyone else seems to be getting it for free?

Call directv up & tell them that....im sure theyll give you some type of deal.

They seem to give away these channels & showtime like H2O.

Or better yet, just cancel. Then give it a few days then call asking for the 3 mo's free for the HD extra pack.

They do give away the HD Extra, Showtime, and Starz like candy. 3 mo's free for any of these is VERY common, and in one of the unsupported MRV threads, I saw someone who was having hassle with getting it running got offered, without asking, 1 full year of Starz. That person took it (who wouldn't?).

Also, Hallmark Movies HD was just added to HD Extra, bringing the total to 7 channels (not 3, lol).

On a sidenote, I'm curious..does anyone like the Hallmark Movies channel so far?

I've seen several good movies listed in the GUIDE. I've seen them before and don't really have time to watch them again right now though....
