CBS 59 has yellow and violet lines on it during primetime shows just in the evenings. All the other channels are fine. Cbs picture is fine during the day just in the evening.
Is anyone else seeing the voilet and yellow pixels and shadow lines on CBS59?
THis is happening during 8-11pm every night on primetime tv

Yeah...I see it too. It looks horrible!
Today 10/25 WVNS CBS 59 looks as worse as it ever has. Not only are the purple lines still there a yellow haze has taken over the picture. During the New England game today the audio sounded like it was broadcast over a cell phone. What type of idiot is at the station putting this stuff out on the air?
I wonder if the signal looks pristine on cable? Does anyone know someone who could answer this?
There are tons of variables in the mix that *could* be causing the issue but if it looks bad on cable as well then that narrows that down significantly.
I have been monitoring WVNS this morning before work. For a little while they were broadcasting in 480i only. So I don't know if they are working on the problem or the broadcast equipment went crazy.
anymore info on this? also when will channel 60 fox/mtn be broadcast in hd? i cant stand watching my games and shows in sd.. if i would have known this channel would not be in hd i would have kept my distant locals.
I was talking this over with one of our engineers and he brought up an interesting point.
Since Fox/Mountain is basically just 59.2 and NOT it's own station, he didn't know if it could ever BECOME a full HD channel or not. I was under the impression that stations could broadcast two HD streams but he didn't think so.
That being said, the Fox station here my NEVER be full HD.
Again, I'm not sure but that's what we've been bouncing around at the station where I work. I don't claim to know for a fact...just want to point that out guys.
is anyone still having primetime issues with cbs 59 wvns?
Noticed on Thanksgiving Day that WVNS 59.2 (Fox/Mountain - Channel 60 on DirecTV) is actually showing up in HD...at least the Fox Network stuff. The game was in HD as was the movie that night.
Guess it was possible after all..
Channel 6 has been out since 9pm. Missed the premier of the Cape. I Have tried to watch the news at 11 for a couple weeks and sometimes its out then as well.
The issues with WVVA have happened quite regularly since we have had our locals. The trouble started Saturday during the football game and the station was off the air from 9 pm Sunday until this morning. Hopefully they finally got it fixed. The last time it happened the situation lasted a couple weeks although the feed did not completely come down. As a consumer the worst part is neither side will say what the problem is.
WVVA was going out AGAIN this morning. Please get this worked out D* and WVVA!!!!
It has been out for the better part of a month. What is going on?
WVVA is coming in for a a minute and then going out for a few seconds. It is getting rather annoying.
Why has woay been off dtv?
It's on the top of their website:
The WV broadcasting insiders board say it could be a long time.
