I would guess within the last week or so I've been seeing annoying pixelation on scene changes. It was pretty bad last night watching the DNC.
I have OTA as a backup and it has no issues. I also do not have any problems like this on my other channels, just the locals.

Anyone else?

Thanks

I just got off the phone with DTV...that was a waste of time regarding my local stations in Chicago. NBC seems to be horrible lately. Pixelation and Audio "buzzing" are very common. I haven't noticed it much on the other locals, but it seems to be very common on NBC. Any hope of this being cured? I refuse to let DTV come to my house as they will be clueless and it will be a waste of time!

Channel 2 CBSHD, same issue with center channel missing on The Big Bang Theory. Two and a Half Men had center channel, but annoying crackling sound half way through program (almost like the gain was turned up too high) that went away in about 10 minutes.

CBS has always been a disaster with sound issues.

My wife has complained about General Hopital's sound the past few days and today she saved the recording to play for me...It does the Buzzing and Crackling every 30 seconds to a minute. The show is on at 2PM Central and is in 720i with Dolby Digital sound.

I'm going to have to tell her to go watch it in SD.

Non stop audio problems from 8 - 8:20. Stopped watching HD channel and switched to SD so not sure how long problem progressed. Echo or Burping of sound.
Same. Wish we had noticed while it was recording. I'd have checked the OTA signal for similar. (Watching the Bears game, but the wife started watching Desperate Housewives during the half and complained.) No idea if it was just the directv feed, or an issue in general with ABC in Chicago.

That's true. WBBM just moved into their new studios, and are having a few transition problems. No doubt everything will be fine in a few days.
But they're still broadcasting their signal from the Hancock Building and not the Sears Tower, right? This is why I can NEVER get their signal via OTA. I can get the other networks but cannot get WBBM-CBS TV Channel 2 via OTA.

Has nothing to do with the building. It has to do with the frequency they are using. They are broadcasting there Digital TV in the VHF range. They will be changing that early next year since they have got approval from the FCC. You should be good then.

Fox32 HD via DirecTv has been awful for about the last week. Numerous picture freezes, breakups and audio burps. Also, some sort of weird flashing on quick scene changes. I also see similar problems via DirecTv HD locals on ABC7 HD from time to time. Thank goodness for OTA reception which shows none of these problems.

Actually, from where they presently beam their signal does have its impact. It's rather tough to aim my OTA antenna just right if all the signals are coming from one location but then WBBM's is coming from another. I'm sure their frequency also plays a part, but location isn't totally irrelevant. I did hear that they were rumored to move their signal to the Sears Tower like the rest of them currently do.

The football games looked good but KING OF HILL has been breaking up a lot.

also fox 32 is the only station to not to have there local news in hd or local shows in DD 5.1

WBBM is buying WTTW's old transmitter and will be broadcasting from the Sears Tower in Feb on channel 12. Their current digital channel is 3 which is brutal.

A friend who lives in the Chicago area tells me:
25 miles away is the pickup point.
And the Sears Tower and the Hancock are not even .5 mile difference in the "arc" position to point the antenna based on where the pickup point is.

It is just VHF-3 is subject to so much interference.
