Knock on wood, but I think both WFLD and WBBM are stable now.
is there any news on 50 going to HD?
WCIU 26 is down no need to call us message
WWME 23 is up and others up.
EDIT Back up.
CBS 2, WGN 9 ISSUES
After several weeks with no locals issues....WBBM-CBS 2 audio has been "warbling" much of the day. Then it will "burp" and clear up for a while, followed by more "burps" and back to the warbling audio. Video doesn't seem to be affected. Also, WGN 9 has been suffering from video break-ups and audio burping the last few days. Both stations are fine ota.
Both problems seem to have corrected themselves at least temporarily.....we'll see if it lasts
CBS via DirecTV was unwatchable for me yesterday evening due to the audio issue. I was forced to switch to my AM21 OTA feed.
I am just curious after reading posts like the last one, why people default to watching the DirecTV feed, if indeed the OTA feed tends to be better. I would think that you would watch OTA almost always, no?
In loop, OTA is not necessarily better with all the shadowing and echoing.
I have a h21-100 dvr and been having problems with playback. My pictures freezes alot during playback. It seems to be just HD locals. Has anyone had the same problem. When the playback freezes the buttons on the remote control will not funtion.
Major Burrip problems on WFLD HD about every 5 seconds or so. 1:45PM
Burrips fixed now
fox32 bad guide info on the Simpsons they have the wrong episode is listed vs what is being shown.
So with the digital transition scheduled for tomorrow, what's to become of WBBM CBS 2? I'm in the Lisle-Naperville area, exactly 30 miles west/southwest of the Loop, and that's the only OTA station I cannot get here. I've never been able to. I read that WBBM is moving both their frequency and their antenna's location, but wanted to follow up on that to see if it's true and if anyone knows the details.
Tomorrow at around noon WBBM will sign off both analog 2 and dt 3. The dt frequency will move to rf channel 12 with 8kw of power. They will then be broadcasting from the Sears (Willis) Tower using some of WTTW's equipment which they purchased. This should improve their signal a lot! Also WLS turns off rf 52 and moves the digital signal to rf 7 at around the same time but with a lot less power.
I was quite surprised to see that there were no service interuptions on either WBBM or WLS today when both stations changed frequencies. They must be using a direct feed from the stations.
I have two HR-20s and both still receive 2.1 and 7.1, so somehow the channels are mapping to the new frequencies. I did not re-scan. I did have to re-scan my Samsung HDTV for the locals.
Can anyone tell me why Ch5 NBC Chicago does not broadcast Ellen Degeneres in HD.
WBBM is having major issues this evening while *trying* to watch Dave and now Craig. BBBRrriippp Audio every 2 minutes or less.
I also noticed the audio drop out through the 10:00 news.
I don't know if this is exactly on topic, but I am having some major drop outs on Comcast SportsNet Chicago. So, it isn't a broadcast station, but it is "local", so I am guessing you folks would have some experience with this channel.
I first saw it when I turned it on at about 10:30 Saturday night, and it has persisted throughout the night and early morning whenever I return to that channel. Other channels seem fine, but I don't know what channels share that satellite, etc.
Anybody else seeing this?
