I did this last week when NBC's MPEG-4 was stuttering...and he got someone's eyeballs on it.

I'd try the same thing with this issue. Either way it's a constant on MOST of the MPEG-4 stations...as I saw this last night when I sat down to watch last Tuesday night's "Without a Trace" from Tuesday night on CBS MPEG-4.

So, I've seen the stutter on CBS/NBC/FOX....but haven't noticed if it's there on ABC...and I can honestly say I don't watch much if anything on PIX or WOR...but I'll probably start watching some PBS WNET since it's available in HD now.

I am watching the game on 398 due to the stuttering on WNYW 5. I don't know why this channel does not have the stuttering. - Hope this helps.

Yesterday's NY Giant's football game on NY Fox (Mpeg 4) broadcast was unwatchable. However, changing to channel 88, the Mpeg 2 broadcast was smooth. It seems like I have been seeing this quite a bit lately. Has anyone else had the issue? What is causing it?
    Thanks,
    RA

I happened to watch the Giants via OTA yesterday, on 5-1. No issues (besides the Giants' play). So, FWIW, the stuttering was apparently not present in the original feed to DirecTV. /steve

I had the same exact problem. Strange this is that channel 88 works fine, which is the same exact channel as channel 5. And the video stuttering only occurs during the game. All of the commercials play fine.

For the first time in months I was able to watch football on Fox 5 (MPEG 4) with no video stuttering today. Hopefully this is a permanent fix.

Looks like the video stuttering is back on Fox 5. I started noticing it during football over the weekend and tonight during American Idol.

Video is tuttering again on Fox 5 for at least a week now. I am so tired of these constant problems. Can't they fix it, once and for all?

American Idol two weeks in a row has had some artifacts and audio stuttering. It does not happen often but only on FOX (5).

Make it three weeks in a row American Idol is all messed up with artifacts and sound issues. No issues on other channels. What I noticed is the breakups are when it comes back from a commercial break.

Yup, I have been noticing that for about a week now on WCBS. Fox 5 still has the problem and it's been going on for months now. I don't understand what is so hard about fixing this type of issue.

Several reports tonight of the problem on CBS stations in other cities, on DirecTV, Dish and also off-air with people receiving the station through an antenna. So it looks like the problems are with the national feed not just your local station.
