Same here.. Dish has our local HD channels but not directv 8 (
Nice to hear - but 1 question....is the enitre Fresno area market NOT getting PBS HD? Just those residing in Clovis/Fresno? Or will those of us 35-odd miles south (Visalia) that are in said "market" get it, too?
Sorry, I was being facetious when I said that. I go to Clovis often and had to put a call out to my posse up there. The entire DMA would get it, including Visalia. By the way, does the Visalia Oaks baseball team still exist?
Congrats to those in new markets! Just in time for the big fall build up.
I don't know how many wrestling fans there are on here, but I was hoping to be able to watch Friday Night Smackdown in HD. Now that I finally have an HD receiver (got it in Feburary) I think I'm just going to skip the non-HD channels for WWE programming.
Yes..We've only been promised for about 2 years....
What tim eon Thursday should we expect the locals in HD to go live?
New additions are almost always at 6AM ET.
very well on HD Locals,Next mission is D12 :hurah:
Still waiting for local CW in HD here as well.
Columbia, SC HD locals live @ 6:00 am
Columbia HD locals are up - look fine to me! Eeeexxxxcellent.
Question of curiosity...
What transponder/satellite do the new Columbia, SC locals come through on?
Columbia HD locals looked good this morning.
Yeah, I saw The Price is Right. And I just discovered that General Hospital is in HD.
I believe Satelliteracer indicated 99s (perhaps Spaceway 2?), but I don't know what transponder. I get an excellent signal on a number of 99s transponders in Columbia (100 on 4 of them, in the 90s on numerous others).
There are others that are better at tracking this sort of thing. All I know is that I get to have a fully HD tailgating experience now. And it's really things like this that matter in life.
Is there any news about HD locals for Bakersfield, CA? I'm a DISH Network subscriber, but have been considering switching to DirecTV. Of course, I ain't gonna do that til I see HD locals.
How will we know when the HD locals become available in Huntsville, AL over the next couple of weeks? I currently get a few over the AM21 and I assume I can get rid of that when they all come on line. Will I get notified somehow or should I periodically rescan? Where will the channels be found in the lineup? Thanks
Channels will replace the SD versions of the same channel number and you'll have to 're-add' them if you don't have the SD versions already in your custom list.
They'll just show up, no need to do a re-scan, ala OTA channels.
I'd be happy to get SD locals in Charlottesville, VA. The clock is running on my 2 year commitment. I'm outta here if none by February. Anyone know if there are plans to add it with the new sat launch?
