This from HDNet:
Cool, I'll be at work so I'll be watching on my pc... I think I'll try and record it though.
I will just open my porch door and watch it from my backyard in true HD !! I live about 30 miles from the lauch pad. As a former KSC shuttle worker I watch with a Jaded eye.
I'm a bit over twice as far away, but I don't think I'll have the time to drive up there tomorrow. I may take some pix from here though if time permits.
Mission Scrubbed for today... Maybe tomorrow.
Glad the found out early enough that I didn't start up there, if I were to go. Normally I get all the way to Cocoa Beach before the cancel.
CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. - NASA called off Thursday's launch of space shuttle Atlantis after detecting problems with fuel gauges in the shuttle's external tank. Officials will try again Friday to launch the shuttle, NASA said.
Two of the four sensors in the shuttle's liquid hydrogen tank indicated that the tank was dry, even though there was fuel inside. Three sensors must be working properly to fly, NASA spokesman Paul Foerman said.
Heck, I didn't even know there was supposed to be a launch today until I saw it was scrubbed.
Looks like no launch today either, maybe tomorrow...
Yeah, it says no earlier than Saturday.
Delayed until 3:21pm EST Sunday...
Now delayed to next launch window starting Jan 02,
2 fuel sensors were still failing this morning. They are afraid the sensors could fail just after launch, think the fuel is gone, and shut the system down.
