I mostly use Blue Jeans Cable, but have ordered from monoprice as well. I'll never buy monster again unless that is for some bizarre reason, the only option. I need another short HDMI cable, but am waiting to order untill BJC has their custom made Belden HDMI cables for sale (supposed to be any day now).

ehdmi is also another good place for cables. Got mine for $6 and it only took about 2 days shipping.

Out of curiosity, is this "cheaper cables are just as good as expensive cables" truth also the case with optical digital audio cables? I'm going to be adding a home theater system, and was wondering if going with less-expensive Monoprice for the optical digital cables was a good idea.

This is what I bought, and appears to be pretty high quality from Amazon for $1.69

I have over a year ago. Works(ed) like a charm.

I will say I could not get either my Toshiba HD-A2 or H21 to work with the switch. However, by no means does that mean it is not a good product. I'm confident if I purchased there most recent HDMI switch it would work fine. Over a one year period alot can change in the consumer electronics age. I have also purchased many cables from them and will continue too in the future.

At the time I was running HR10, HR20's and LG XX-511 Upconverters.

I've got a 5 to 1 HDMI switcher from Monoproice and have been running 4 HR20s and an HR10-250 through it and have not had one problem.

I'm a recent convert to Monoprice as well. Even got their component Wii cables. Have had no complaints whatsoever.
