When does this air? I would like to record it as I believe I have found a handy guide to using it. For anyone else interested in doing this them self but would like a little guidance check it out here.

It shows some Canadien game show or something at first. However, it is the right one.

You would think HDNet would know when they are broadcasting it. /s

Follow the link below for some information about the "timeliness" of that article:

Yes. Since you are located in the Midwest, I believe it comes on at 5:50 a.m. on Sundays.

Actually I'm not seeing it this coming Sunday or the next, it was on the last 4 sundays (I recorded them to see if it was the same patteren each time, it was) but it looks like it's not going to be on for a while for some reason.

Or this link, which I've already posted twice before in this thread! In the words of VeryOldSchool, maybe I need to change my typeface! /s

Search for test pattern and it comes up for Sat June 9 at 6:30 AM ET. Adjust for your time zone.

Before you assume I don't know how to follow instructions maybe you should double check your facts.
I have the test pattern on series record & in the prioritizer it says "NONE SCHEDULED", that means it is not listed in the guide for the next 2 weeks.

Also the link you posted twice says,
    Sat, Jun 9 - 6:30 AM ET
3:30 AM PT HDNet Test Patterns
Wonder how your home theatre is doing? Wish you had test patterns to help set it up? Well, HDNet is here to help. This short program will help you get the most out of your home theatre setup by providing you with the same professional test patterns HDNet uses to set their gear."

Now that's 5:30 am central time where I am, would you care to show me where you see the test pattern on my guide (Notice the guide is for 5:30am thru 7:00am central on 6-9 & the pic was taken today)
Now on 6-16 there is a blank space at 5:30-5:40am That I guess will be the test pattern but since it is not actually listed in the guide you can't set it up & the scheduler can't see it.

Looks like the problem is with your guide information, not with the HDNet test pattern schedule.
