One of mine (can't remember which right now) had a manufacturing date sticker of 10/12/09.
Not sure if my HR24 was the 12th [old eyes make it hard] but "yeah" the same run, and mine was first "environmental & usability tested".
"Hey, Joe - stick this one in the freezer at 15ºF overnight and then plug it up. It'll be just like one stuck on an installer's truck in winter!"
Mine was "Stress Rack Soak" - hope that doesn't mean run over-voltage for 48 hours while drenched in water . . .
Just peeled mine off, it's HALT (Highly Accelerated Life Testing). :blackeye:
You know, I think the only thing left for me to try is hooking up one at a time... Cause I have tried everythgin else and they still arent; working.. I can get my h24 to say it is networked via coax, but still won;t connect to the interenet!
Wonder who got the salt spray tested one? :eek2:
I think the first thing they need to do to the software, sis when you select get connected, you only have 3 choices right now, wired, wireless, powerline... I think there needs to be a fourth, and call it coax or deca connected.. whatever they want to name it.. Anyhow, this option should force the units to look at only that connection....
Are you using static IP? If so try putting in the DNS from your router int he DNS set of octets.
You know, for the Carrier Based DVRs.
I seem to remember that Carnival uses Directv and a gyro-stabilized pointing platform for their Western Hemisphere, U.S.-based cruises. They did when we were on board one of their ships in early 2005, anyway.
Not soaked in water, but in heat a lot higher thzn you will ever have in your house.
OK, I connected my h and hr to my network, and all my other uniuts as well via ethernet cable last night, and everything for mrv worked fine on all of them (not counting the list bug, which has now bitten me 3 time on 2 boxes, and once on my other 4 each) so then I disconnected everything again, meaning that my other units where just hooked to a network switrch, and completekly isolated from everything else, no network and interenet connection at all.. Then I plugged my hr24 and h24 into the deca and so on again, and did some reset and reset everything on them and even typed in the ip addresses etc that had been asigned to them previously.. and still no go..
I am getting the folling on my info screens on my H24...
And when I go through the advanced screen on the h24 I get...
I am getting the folling on my info screens on my H24... (before I had typed in the actual ip address etc that it was asigned when I did have it hooked up via ethernet last night)
And when I go through the advanced screen on the h24 I get... ANd the fact its still trying to connect via Ethernet is bugging me, since its had restored defaults in the network done, as well as in the restart screen, and a reboot, and a reset evererything done since it was last hooked up via Ethernet cable!
And what I would like to see is the option to hook up coax on this screen!
On you computer (assuming it is a PC), go to the comand prompt and type "IPconfig /all". Get the DNS shown there and plug it into the H24. See if that lets you connect to the internet.
i just peeled the sticker off my and it said the same thing.
I had it for my network.. I see from the pics I had typed it in wrong.. Yes i had to manually enter all those numbers.. I fixed it, but I still get the exact same messages and such... ANd just to make sure, I did what you suggested and my numbers are correct..
If you haven't tried it a menu reset might help get you going.
I have only done that about 15 times in the last 2 days.... I gotta say, I am impressed with how fast it restarts..
My sticker says "Environmental and Operational Test", which could mean practically anything.
Afraid to look at what mine says. Probably "Drop & Kick".
Doug, if you want, you can send another H24 or HR24 to my house for testing! Seriously!
