Update: I finally got it to copy to desk top and I now have it installed.
I still receive an error message "Unknown error" when trying to playback a recording with both of my displays enabled. Disabling my 2nd display with the ATI Catalyst software resolves this error.
Mouse cursor disappears on full screen now! I am pleased This was definitely annoying in the previous version to have the mouse cursor just sitting there when watching full screen video.
I completely agree. This is a huge upgrade IMO.
Trying to install from within the .zip file yielded "Error reading installation file."
You may need to pull it down again.
Trying to play Law and Order recorded from KNBC-MPEG4,, I get the message "Can't play if digital audio exists and audio driver cannot apply SCMS".
Note, the program is installed on my laptop, follow the link in my signature to get full specs.
Trying to play The Royal Family recorded from KABC-MPEG4, it plays but is too choppy to watch.
SD content seems to work perfectly.
Trying to play Lipstick Jungle recorded from KNBC-MPEG4, I get the message "Cannot Play DTCP Content. AKE fail."
When playing a show or in the show "play/done" screen I cannot select Menu -> My Playlist .. More accurately, the button changes to yellow seeming to work, but nothing actually changes. Either I stay on the show screen or the program continues to play without bringing up the playlist. The only way I can get back to my playlist is to use the Back button until I reach it.
While playing a selection, I cannot use "Menu" button. It selects/highlights Menu, but nothing happens when clicked. It does work once I back out of the selection.
Using the HD Net signoff clip, I cannot stack 30 second slips (it says skip, but that isn't happening). Any stacking ends in one 30 second slip (actualy about 28 seconds). This is a wireless connection.
Tom, any word on when more licenses will become available so we can try the new client on other systems?
My connectivity success with these versions is much higher .. As in I haven't seen a single connectivity failure this time .. where last round it was rare to successfully connect.
No, we dont' know when more licenses will be available.
Yeah, I'm getting a new desktop this week and really need to try operating from there, especially since I have such great difficulty getting connected (and staying connected) from the laptop.
Would you be able to uninstall from the current machine and reinstall on the new desktop?
Not that we are aware of.
I'm seeing this as well. Saw the issue while watching an MPEG-2 program. I've just duplicated the same issue with an MPEG-4 program.
