There is a new version of the client available. This version requires individual licenses per PC. As the Alpha Squad, I can get you licenses tonight/tomorrow and DIRECTV will give you up to two. Almost everyone else invited to the beta this weekend will be limited to one PC.

There is another requirement this time. To track all this, please download the latest cyberlink advisor (version 2807); run the scan for Blu-ray; and save the logfile as your DBStalk username.html (or username2.html)

Then email the file(s) to pc_playback@comcast.net. Once I have the license(s) for you, I'll send them back, hopefully fairly quickly.

And there are two download links:
    http://www.sizethis.com/download/PC-Playback/DIRECTV_Standard 2ch.v4109_CyberLink_DMS080506-02.zip
    http://hr20.dbstalk.com/PC-Playback/DIRECTV_Standard 2ch.v4109_CyberLink_DMS080506-02.zip

For now, put the issues in the version 4109 issues thread. This is going public sometime this weekend; at that point the thread will move up into the regular CE forum. So please keep the issues thread free of Field tester talk. :)

I will also ask you to send me some other details about your current configuration in a day or two.

    Any questions?

    Have fun!
    Tom

Don't install the software yet. We got to have the code before it will install. I tried and it wouldn't let me.

Will the serial number be transferrable, or once used is it no good? I'm asking for situations where you would uninstall it from one machine and install on another.

I am not sure at this point. We'll try to work something out when that happens.

    Cheers,
    Tom
