I've kept this v4 and it's posted above.
I just don't know what to say about these caps.
Must be your 5th DVR used just for testing, eh?
I don't really leave anything on any of my DVR's. We watch the shows and delete just about everything.
BTW all of my units have CE software on them.
I guess I'm just the opposite.
Have 1TB external drives on mine and both are nearly full of stuff I may never watch.
And that doesn't include the OTA stuff recorded on the PC. I'm definitely not doing my part buying DVDs to support that industry. Too much already available and only so much time in the day.
DirecTV should be happy with me though, spend plenty with them.
Thanks again for writing and compiling tfederov.
My pleasure. Hope it got everything we put in here.
Looks good, great work, just what you'd expect from a Detroit fan.
When's it go to press?
Each of us has our own reasons for the DVR usage I have lots of content that gets cycled that is recorded for the grandtibbers and great-grandtibber (Think "Justice League", "Scooby Doo", "Batman", etc.)
I also keep movies for watching again and again.
So far, everything is looking great!
We might want to list Cyberlink as the source for the requirements info, since it is a public page.
It looks to me that we have a compiled a very good list. I'm sure there will be plenty of Q&A once released, but I think it will be more to expand on our experiences with the software.
The steps once we deem it ready is to forward to DIRECTV for review (possible updates), then await their go ahead. Sometimes we get that immediately, sometimes we'll sit on a first look for a few weeks.
Since I don't yet know the release schedule of the software to the CE'ers, I really don't have a clue when the first look will be needed. I suspect soon (ok, hope for soon?)
Would something like this work?:
The current minimum recommended settings are based on Cyberlink Power DVD software (http://www.cyberlink.com/multi/products/require_1_ENU.html#bd) as follows
TFed, Great job!! From first glance it looks great on your latest edit. I will read over it more carefully. But, it looks great!
That looks good to me.
Version 5 posted.
How about a mulit-tasking full screen capture?
Maybe not this particular one, can always get another.
I'm thinking things such as PC performance with this running is another one of those YMMV issues that might be better in Q&A.
"According to this screen shot everything is running fine but my Packard Bell is choking!"
Yes, I owned a Packard Bell. Yes, I've already apologized.
Or better would be one with the video actually playing and showing use on the resource monitor.
No need for me to record them since I own all of the DVD box sets of Justice League Unlimited, Batman: TAS, Batman Beyond, and Superman
Moved the bedroom wireless n adapter up to the top of the hutch and signal strength seems better, now 44% (was 26 to 32%) as reported on the Linksys' adapter status page and on par with the LR adapter. Can't say what those numbers really mean.
Tony, Looking good. Thanks everyone for the great feedback.
