    Scooper,
Power supply? Are we talking about a Power Inserter? If I understand you correctly the inserter will be installed between the bottom leftmost terminal and the coax to the 1st receiver. Is there labeling to identify the connection to the coax to the receiver on the inserter?

Yes we are talking about a power inserter, and no - I have not seen a DPP44 so I can't tell you which one gets the power inserter, except that it will be on one of the ends.

From the pictures / wiring diagrams I have seen on the internet - on the DPP44 you will find 2 sets of 4 outputs each - one set is to cascade another switch, and the one you need is to go to the receivers, and they should be marked.

I would ask another question. The dish at his location only has 1 cable coming out of the dish support arm and going in to the building. On the rear of the ViP222K is a Dish Network Dish Pro Plus Triplexer (ES175284). It has two cables to connect to the satellite 1 and 2 inputs on the 222K. I think the 1K.2 dish has a switch in it. How is this going to work with the DPP44 switch? Thanks for your help!!!!

TO use the DPP44, 2 additional cables need to be run so all 3 cables terminate at the DPP44. All receivers connect to the reciever outputs on the DPP44. The power inserter needs to be at receiver port 1 - it serves as a dual purpose. (see that thread P Smith referenced regarding the 1000.2 LNB/switching)

I have used a DPP33 switch - I had a 1000.4 eastern Arc, and a Dish500 with 2 Dual Dishpro LNBs (pointing at 119 and 110). I took one of the 110 outputs and put it into the 1000.4 input port, then put the other and one of the 119 outputs into the DPP33. Normally, I just kept my VIP222K on the Eastern Arc, but every once in a while I would change over to the DPP33 just to make sure it was still working. As long as I did the check switch when I changed dish configurations, it worked fine.
