Exactly. And not to rub it in to anyone waiting on orders (sorry man!), but I ordered it on Saturday 11/28, got the notice Monday it had shipped, and received it today, and I only paid standard shipping. I'm happy with it ...

Lots of deliveries today! Got got my 4 new remotes today. As mentioned earlier, just couldn't pass up $4.95 (IR) / $9.99 (RF) new remotes from Solid Signal.

Since I am a group 3er.. I have a new swm8 on the way (have a swm5 now) and will be cascading the swm8 off of a wb616 and the only 2 things on that swm8 will be the h24 and hr24, and I will disconnect all my other units from the internet but leave them networked together so I can still test mrv.. I'll only plug them in to send a report, and then unplug them.. leaving only my 2 new pieces fully up and running on the internet the new fellas, so that I cam truly test them in an isolated situation, as if they where the only 2 pieces of equipment i have... I believe that is how they are going to be sold anyway, so it should be very interesting to see how it all goes!

I was equally suprised how fast my 4-port splitter and other items came from Solid Signal...standard shipping - ordered last Friday - arrived Tuesday.

Always got good service from them.

Looking to "install" the splitter - actually swap it out with a 2-port - tongiht...and then will be pretty much ready for a quick H24 activation here.

I can't wait to get these puppies. I checked my equipment list again this morning, nothing. But for me the worst part will be the inclusion into my media closet of the new DVR and running coax to the kid's playroom (not too difficult, I have to move their toys is all) for the H24. Then playing with this DECA thingy will be some sweetness I'm looking forward to.

DECA has been working quite well here for some time...so testing the new units will indeed be "fun"....obviously, our testing work is yet ahead of us...and we'll likely go through some of the customary firmware hiccups and bumps...but since we're starting out from a more mature firmware starting pint, it might be a bit less "challenging" than in the past.

In any case, looking forward to it too.

    Cedar Park,...
Nothing in the equipment list here either but the "Orders and Installation" page has been unavailable for two days. Maybe it's being updated. :D

Before I start to address these fine post, I have to admit, multiquoting makes me feel so, Ewwwww! <shiver>
Oh, there is no doubt about that. We'll have to polish our testing prowess and endure some errors, that is inevitable as mashed potatoes goes with gravy. And to be perfectly clear, as if I can ever be, I also look forward to it, this is not a whine you hear, it is joy and adulation at the finest of gleeful states there ever can be, trust me!

Yeah, my equipment list and my orders list have been stagnant. Though I'm hopeful that that only means they will do as Pete alluded to earlier and that is ship then update. I am hopeful they shipped yesterday or today for a reception on today or tomorrow, then to play <cough> I mean setup the system during the weekend. This, as you can't honestly tell, I am anticipating.

I've been watching TV in my living room by only using my H21 so that I get used to only using the new H24 to watch tv.

And I've also been only using the H21 because MRV playback on it is better than the HR2X's.

    False Alarm: :(

I was driving home just minutes ago,
As I passed my front door to turn into the driveway, all I could say is ho ho
I saw this brown box sitting at my front door!
I turned into the driveway and put brakes to the floor.
Hopes were raised, as I jumped out of the truck,
Went to the front door and said what the ____
It was a box from Target from my sister to my daughter, and all I could think: just my luck!

This is similar to what I am going to do. I figure I will put at least one of my HR20-700's in my garage where everything terminates (I will get a picture once I get it cleaned up), and from there perhaps more of them.

HR24/H24 will take occupation in my most watched areas, of course. Once we get over the FT I may just take most of my DVRs and put them in the same co-location.

I was at this bazillionairs house some time ago, and he had 10 DVRs all stacked in a roll out (and air conditioned) closet. It was a site to see.

Man, Mrs. Smiddy gets home before me daily, so I grilled her to see if FedEx left me a package, and she said, "Maybe" and I was like no way, what is it? She said, "Just kidding!" Ok, so now I owe her one... :D
