Those readings look great. I'm surprised that you're seeing "rain fade" issues when it's simply overcast.

You must have had some serious storms in the LOS to get 771's during "overcast / rain pour" with those fine signals.

So the signals are as good as it's going to get ?

And it usually happens on overcast/cloudy days as well as when it's pouring up a storm. Enough to get annoyed and seek help from the forum gurus like ya'll

If it's cloudy over your house but extreme heavy rain to the SW of you, then that can cause rainfade. It's the water in the atmosphere that can cause it. It's not uncommon to have the 771 message before it rains then when the rain starts the 771 message goes away and you get programming.

    chefwong,

Those signals look great! With signals less than that, I very, very rarely get rainfade. Ok I am in a semi-arid state, yet relative to the storms we do have I don't get rainfade.

I wondering if you have a moisture problem in an LNB or coax connector; but that doesn't explain why cloudy days are a problem too.

    Cheers,
    Tom

Please report your 103(b) signals again next time you see this problem. Even in FL in the summer, we rarely have outages except from serious thunderstorms in the LOS to the satellites, which in our case is SW. Usually they never last longer than 10-15 minutes.
