How to get new remote controls no questions asked

    Hello, people.

    As you might know, sometimes remote controls get a little ugly and, even if they work perfectly and nothing is wrong with them, it would feel nice to have it replaced.

    So the best tactic I have is to tell Dish that the lights on the mote just died, and that the batteries are new and in the correct position.

    This way you'll get a new remote anytime you want.

    I ordered one when mine died, but I saw the same remote on Amazon for $15. I ordered a spare. I have also seen ones like new or new at our local Goodwill store for $3. I have a vip211k.

    And the post for, "I'm the cheapest person on the planet goes to!"...

    my remote works just fine but it doesn't look good so give me a new one. WOW!

    I'm usually opening it and do clean up of rubber pads and PCB contacts include battery's terminals. Plastic spatula is cheap and useful tool for the man's job !
