HR20-0x190: VOD Setup/Activating Issues

    Just press (same time) menu and info again.... You only need to do the keyword search once.

    I checked again this morning, still no 1000 available. I have done everything per Earl's "VOD Latest News" post.

    FWIW,
    VOD is working on both of my HR20's.. It started within a few minutes on the HR20 that was connected to my Buffalo wireless ethernet converter - so wireless may not make a difference (your mileage may vary though)..

    Here's another thought... Do you think your HR20 has to be listed as your primary receiver on your account? Maybe you only get $0.00 Engineer charge if your hr20 is listed as your primary?

    Tried testing my system again (as per Tom's recent addition to Earl's VOD status thread), and it didn't help, as channel 1000 doesn't show, and I have no engineering line item on recent activity.

    I have followed all the instructions provided and have an internet connection, but channel 1000 is not available.

    For what it's worth, my HR20-700 is "Secondary" on the D* website. VOD still not working...

    Posting per Earl's request in the sticky...

    I did everything up through the submenu and getting VOD on. Changed to "All channels" in the favorites guide, but I see no channel 1000. Network is on and connected to the internet (per the HR20). Think it's on D*'s side.

    One of mine is listed as my primary receiver, still no VOD for me.

    I am also one who has no VOD yet. Turned it on at 6PM last night, and as of 6AM there was nothing there.

    Perl "Latest News" thread I'm posting here.

    - Keyword search for "IWANTMYVOD": Check
    - Press Info & Menu on front to get to hidden menu: Check
    - Turn "VOD" to "on": Check
    - Click on "ok" and then "Done" to leave hidden menu: Check
    - Filters set to "All Channels": Check
    - Pass both Network tests: Check
    - Rebooted after 2hrs of no channel 1000: Check
    - Rebooted this morning after still not seeing 1000: Check
    - VOD Enabled: No Joy

    Interesting thought...I was just on DirecTV.com and noticed my HR20 is a secondary receiver. I know many people have posted that they have multiple boxes working, so at least one would be a secondary receiver. Has anyone succeeded without their Primary box being VOD activated?

    Not sure if this is needed to post or not ..because they already know it is a problems but as per listed above ...I have also done all the following..just letting the powers above know...thanks for what this site does and what it is doing...awsome job...to all

    I just read Earl's new thread regarding the VOD issue. One thing that I did not do yesterday was to let the search for "IWANTMYVOD" to go all the way because when I typed the keyword and went to the category screen I was able to get to Misc menu from there by pressing Info+Menu on the front of the box.

    Did anyone activate VOD at the search result screen and still do not have it?

    I noticed a possible problem. I show that my TV CONTENT shows SOME BLOCKED. I don't know if that is related to this problem, but I don't think I have anything blocked on my HR-20.

    This may not even be releated, or someone else may have mentioned it, but just wanted to give my 2cents. :)

    Steps taken yesterday late afternoon:

    1. Keyword search for "IWANTMYVOD"
    2. Selected All categories and hit Continue.
    3. The Please Wait message appeared and Search did not complete after a few minutes.
    4. Hit cancel.
    5. Hit Menu and Info on receiver anyways.
    6. Misc Options showed up with VOD option. I enabled it. Went back to menu again and confirmed that it was enabled.
    7. Changed Guide options to All Channels
    8. Tested Network through Advanced setup...Network and Internet tested ok.

    As of this morning, I do not have Channel 1000.

    If I did anything wrong above, please advise...thanks!
