I got Video!!!!!!
We have lift off .. now for some true testing after the real shows kick in ..
Video AND audio!
Volume setting at high. I can't seem go move it down.
Never mind. One needs to hit the correct icon to do it. It's working.
I have audio dropouts and video freezes at the sametime video dropout on HD recordings on MPEG-4 local ABC and also on TBS HD over the sat. SD recordings are fine.
I am hooked up wirelessly to my Network on a Windows Vista home Basic laptop. With Intel Duo Core2 CPU T5270 1.4 GHz. NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS video card.
Audio is "jumpy" for me kinda like a "Da Da Da" filter. It never outright goes away, but but it warbles ..
MPEG4 recording of Stargate Atlantis from SciFi HD
Tried to play Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles recorded from MPEG4 WNYW. Takes about 10 seconds to load, about a half second of audio can be heard, then goes back to menu. Receive error message "Can't output to DVI, HDMI if PC or monitor doesn't support HDCP.".
Receive same error message for Stargate Atlantis recorded off of SciFi HD on Friday.
I can't move it either.
DRM issues on the XP desktop. Starts to play then get an error message about HDCP (Can't output tp DVI, HDMI if PC or monitor doesn't support HDCP).
I'd report on the Vista laptop but it is having it's usual issues with finding the HR20.
Tom pointed this out in another thread. But, this has random seek by clicking on the progress bar. Now, that is cool!
300 from MAXHD is playing quite well on the Vista laptop (finally got it going).
From Anticipation thread - I'm up and past the orignal error. Playing Crossroads. But get a blank screen and no sound. Going back to DVR to verify that it is OK there.
From anticipation thread - Crossroads played just fine on my TV. Still black and no sound on PC. When I tried FF I get the following. "Failed to connect with server. Please check the network status." I also tried another movie that was peviously viewed and ended up with the same thing. Gonna try the other DVR and then head to bed.
Right now it doesn't seem to have autocorrect on it.
Volume can be raised or lowered by clicking on the speaker icons on either side of the slider. The volume slider itself does not seem to respond to mouse interaction.
Tried 2nd DVR. Playing local news report. Same issues as 1st DVR.
Details guys, details please. In nauseating detail, please tell us everything that isn't listed in your setup or that flexes (like switching between wired and wireless.)
Just saying HD doesn't say anything without channel, OTA vs. MPEG2 vs. MPEG4, when recorded, what show. Every little detail as there have been encoder changes, channels do different things with their recordings, bitrates are important so DIRECTV needs enough info to look stuff up...
Ah, ok. You are correct there. Thanks!
Can't select CC with the mouse, have to arrow down to it and hit enter. CC works.
30 second skip looks like 30 second slip.
