Sorry if this has been discussed, but I couldn't find it in after doing a search. The one thing that still has me go back to the HR10-250 is Closed Captioning staying on during FF1. I can catch up when I'm 4-5 shows behind, or during those moments on CSI when they are in the lab. It's real easy to see when the dialog has started again.

I leave CC on most of the time because I have kids and it's just easier to use it than to keep rewinding and listing over and over.

Would it be possible to leave CC up at FF1 speed?

Maybe once VOD is a reality for all HR20 users, then it would be a good time to identify the top 10 fixable, yet unaddressed wishes of the HR20 community. Then ask for volunteers for "shepherds" to keep threads about these wishes going. Mr. Brott has already volunteered to take on Skip-to-Tick for example.

I'd be happy to take on a thread to allow user-configurable (or more options) to manage # of programs to keep (right now the 5 or All is unmanageable for us).

I'd like to see the ability to have more options or user defined options on # to keep - but alas - it keeps dying on the wish list vine.

Otherwise, I'll take Remote scheduling which I believe comes with or around VOD anyways.

P.S. My last name is Shepherd - so I'd be a natural fit :)

Well in that case, there's no doubt that you can Shepherd pretty much anything you want :p

I have the same problem with the Tour De France coverage - especially on the flat stages where you already see a breakaway has 8 minutes and you want to skip ahead.

When I tape football games I love to be able to skip half time. Everyone talks about setting bookmarks but that doesn't help if you haven't watched a program yet...

Something I am sure will never happen but if there is a way I would love to see it done.

Two options of doing it. One the HR20's being able to communicate with each other or the second option would be when online scheduling is adding you were also able to save your series link on a online account. So that means the HR20's would need to be networked.

This is my thought. If you have more then one HR20 and one of the units have a conflict with recording 3 or more programs at one time the program that is a conflict would be recorded on another HR20 as long as none or only one program is set to record on that unit.

I agree with the INFO button giving more detailed information (Cast, Director...etc.).
This was a feature of UltimateTV which I loved.

It is on the wish list.

I really want this one. How do you search for an actor if they are not listed?

Additional info is the thing I miss most from TiVo. Actors, writers, director, and episode number.

I wish there was a one button press for my favorites. Receiver I had was able to do this.

    :welcome_s to DBSTalk, Montel!

Correct! Unless you regularly record long programs like this, and want to be able to move around in them, you don't understand the mental anguish caused by the current implementation of skip-to-tick.

    Oh yeah:
Ha Ha! You said tape. I still do that on occasion. I think, however, I have finally broken the habit of saying I TiVo'd it. Now if I could just get the wife to stop....

Here's one I haven't seen before, and don't see on the wish list:

I think it would be useful to be able to go back in the guide 6 or 12 hours. I've been over at someone's house, or at work, and seen part of a show I found interesting. I know which channel it's on, but don't know the name of the show (or forget by the time I get home). Or, I know I just missed a program, and want to go back and see when future showings are. Yes, I know I can search for the title if I know it, but for some programs (like "Inside Training Camp") there are multiple different versions or episodes, and I'm looking for a specific one. Being able to go back to it, select it and find future episodes would be much easier.

I'd gladly give up 6 or 12 hours at the end of the 2 week guide data to be able to go back that same amount in the past and see programs I missed. I know you can do this on cable TV guides.
