    Internal pictures delivered.

By the way, and I forgot to mention this in the emails I sent the pictures with, but we should note the presence of the second cooling fan (the one under the hard drive). Was that done on the -700?

Are the heatsinks removed in the pictures? Need to know the chips in case there are model number differences that need to be checked out. I have not taken the top of mine off yet. There are pictuires in the first look post that has the package/box pictures.

Yes, we have photos of 2 main chips....without heatsinks...don't get too excited about change in that area...

Thanks to the great work by several fellow HR21-200 CE testers here, I got a flood of pictures, ideas, and a bit of suggested content as well.

That "forced me" to burn the midnight oil and make alot of progress on the First Look. I can share that there will be even more photos in this version than its -700 counterpart. The overall "look" of it will be very similar to the -700 version, as we got alot of positive feedback on that layout - Drew2K came up with much of that concept.

Despite some "cut and paste" kidding...there actually was alot of content that had to be created, updated, and revised. Since this will be as much a comparison piece with the -700 version as a "new release" piece, we had to include a bit of both aspects.

The final process --- once a draft is done and reviewed by us authors, we forward it to Earl for his review, approval, and any related revisions - at that point....a final version release time will be up to him (and DirecTV) for the actual First Look itself.

Both HDTVSportsfan and I appreciate the efforts of all the contributors.

HDTVfan001 has by far done more work on this than myself. He deserves a round of applause and a big thanks from me. He's carrying me on this.

Thanks for all the kind words, but this was abosolutely a team effort - many people shared information, comments, and of course, photos. I just tend to get very "heads down" on these things once I get started. My partner, HDTVSportsfan, contributed in many ways on several fronts.

For those of us that have done this before, we know its alot of work, but purely a labor of love. That is one thing I have learned to appreciate from Earl and others here.

That said, it ain't over until it's over...it's in the Editor-In-Chief's hands for review...

Many thanks to both of you HDTV guys for all the hard work to assemble the review. We all appreciate your efforts. :D :allthumbs

I see a trend here. DirecTV needs to send HDTVfan001 a -100 now so he will write a review there also. Three in a row. :D

Yes they did, like the Foosa do when the terrorize you and your clan. But not as hard, I guess, since it seem you still have an arm left.

    It's glued on. :D

Anyway...things are now on "standby" mode until I hear back on the review/approval. That may take a few days (or so I've been told).

In any case, I was pleasantly impressed by all the helpers to this project. It is never a one-man show and won't work as one anyway. I am most appreciative to my fellow CE testers. :)
