New to swm systems and Having a problem getting sat signal on my HR22 after swapping locations with a H24. All I did was disconnect the coax line from the CCK that connects a coax and Ethernet cable to the HR22 move the HR22 and CCK to the bedroom and connect the coax line that formerly connected to the H24. No signal 771, tried unplugging the swm power inserter and then a red button reset. The coax lines come from swim16 that feeds two 4 way splitters. Any help would be appreciated. The HR44, HR24, H24 all are working fine.

you need to make sure that you do not overload neither of the SWM16 two outputs. what other receivers do you have?

You have 10 tuners in your system. That means that you have a SWM-16 installed. For the sake of this discussion, a SWM-16 is essentially two SWM-8's. There are two outputs and there can only be 8 tuners connected to the splitter attached to each output.

My guess is that you had 8 tuners already attached to the SWM-16 output that the H24 used to be connected to and when you swapped receivers, you ended up having 9 tuners connected to that output. You probably need to find which cables run to each of the rooms in question. Then you should swap the location at the SWM-16 / splitter to which they are connected.

Why did the CCK go with the HR22?

Typically a CCK goes wherever your router is.

Did you bring along the CCK's wall wart?

Though if true, I don't understand why the error message is not a "776" type for an over subscribed SWiM.

Even if the HR22 is somehow still on an old FW version, it should read a "771B" error message to indicate an over-sub'ed SWiM.

Unless by "CCK" the TS means the receiver DECA adapter attached to the HR22.

I have a HR24 & a HR44 these are fed off of one of the 1-4way splitters. I have a H24 & a HR22 these are fed off of the other 4 way splitter, this is the side with the issues. These 2 splitters are fed off of the swim 16, this is the way the D* tech installed it 3 weeks ago.

My mistake it is a deca adaptor connected to the HR22.

That should work. I'm about to ask you a "first line CSR" question... Have you checked to make sure that you didn't bend the center pin of the coax cable when you connected it to the HR22?

I will check the cable. I did try swapping coax lines as the tech ran an extra coax line off the same splitter to the bedroom. No luck. I tried moving the coax at the splitter to the same port on the splitter that fed the HR22 at its previous location. No luck. I did note that the coax line that fed the HR22 in its previous location was at the end of the 4 way splitter and had a red ring on the barrel.

Did you try re-running the setup on the HR22?
