Came in today & the HR23 was off & I had left it powered up.
AM20 shows a power light but DVR will not power up.
Any hidden reset button (RBR did nothing) or is it dead?

Have you tried unplugging the power and letting it sit for a half hour or so?

Pulled the plug & plugged it back in & nothing but I'll leave it unplugged for 1/2 hour & see what happens.

Tried unplugging the AM20 & plugged the HR23 in directly & still nothing, leaving unplugged for 1/2 hour now.

    It's dead.
It's a good thing I don't deal with CS much or I would not have DirecTV for long!
I get a REFURB DVR & have to pay shipping!?
I got them to waive shipping but don't like getting someone else's troubled box sent to me instead of a new box, especially considering I paid $399 for a fracking DVR that I don't even own! :nono2:

I hope you didnt pay $399, D* only charges $199 on the lease price...

Without the PP, everyone should be paying a $20 shipping cost....

Actually I think it's $99 now but when they were first released it was $399 or $299.

Have not been able to post earlier, but here goes my tale of woe came home saturday last from a short trip, and found my hr22 with power onand unable to download from satellite check signal strenght and found out sat 101 all odd x-ponders were zero called DTV and the said earliest was this saturday the 9th told rep to get supvsr and after 30 min hecame back and said that it was the first avilable appointment i was ticked off but was not nasty. I think that is piss poor cust support told him if it was install they would get here sooner, loyal to dtv since april 2001, nut to avail......

    I'm just hoping I don't get another HR23!!
I was in the beta test for it & ever since I've had it it has been VERY slow reacting to the remote.
