Two HR24-100 "black screens/no audio" noted in two days. REPLAY fixed both, tho.

Otherwise, still working like a champ for local/mrv playback ...knock on wood! :)

I have some reports I need to post later today, but unfortunately, my high hopes have been diminished. :(

Other than a couple of black screens on channels, it worked like a charm yesterday. No loss of audio, no freeze-ups, etc. :)

Unfortunately, I've already had to restart it twice today for loss of audio. :(

Thankfully, I have not had any lock-ups yet. :)

Other then my hopes about mrv being dashed, my HR24 is continuing to work without a hitch, as it has since the last ce 2 weeks ago.

Tried using MRV last night with the HR23 as the server then again this afternoon with the HR24 as the server.

While I didn't use MRV for hours straight or anything, the time I have spent using MRV, I have been very impressed.

In both cases it was like watching the recordings locally. I watched a VOD show recorded on the HR24 on the HR23 via MRV this afternoon and it was just as if it was recorded on the HR23.

I'm just really happy this DVR is still working coming up on two weeks now! Woohoo!

PS. I brought up the comparison between the HR24 vs HR23 because this is the first CE for this particular HR24, yet it works as well for MRV, for me, as the HR23 which has had many CE's. So far trickplay has been even smoother then when I was using my trusty HR20-700 with the HR23.

    Network is hardwired, via ethernet.

No issues today. MRV with HR24 as client worked flawlessly and other local recordings played without issue.

I had the same issues with freezing after trick play starting yesterday. I had one good day of trick play and then the issues started happening again.

My HR24 is in my basement, where it will, unfortunately, sit untouched for a while. For me, it is nearly unusable.

How did that work out for ya? :p

Neglected to report that my HR24-100 did indeed get the push Friday night, around 11:30 CDT or so...

We have been watching a bunch of shows via MRV with it and it pretty much just works. So far the only real annoyance is the audio is still being slow to start coming out of pause, we miss about a line or so of dialogue. What I typically do is press play and then one skip back so we catch what we would have otherwise missed due to the audio being slow to restart.

Ship it to me, I will test it for you. Glad everyone isn't going that route, nothing would get fixed.

Just checked now that everything's been re-built, and flushing the cache didn't change anything. Looks like we'll have to wait for the HR24 equivalent of 3BF (or later). That was the first CE release this issue was fixed on the HR20-23's.

Well, today I had my first black screen/ no audio issue. I did a jump from 231, Food Network, to 202, CNN, with previous button and there was nothing. Like everyone else, doing a jump back with that button that has the 180 degree arrow got it playing. I sent a report as soon as I was back live and will post that number. I went through the entire 2 weeks of the previous ce without any issue, oh well that what being a tester is all about.

Trust me, I want to test it. But it is extremely hard to test when anything but watching live TV requires a reset. I suppose I could use it and send reports and post issues every 10 minutes, but I am not sure that would be productive. My issues are very well documented my me so far. Unti l they are fixed, there's not much more I can do.

Sounds like your unit might be defective. I watch live every night and only had 2 RBR occasions.

Something must be wrong with it or something is wonky with your setup that it don't like.

I've been using mine exclusively for the past 2 days. No reportable issues other than it won't send a report.
