HR24-100/H24-700 {CE:01:10} 0x03E2 - Issues Only

Pulled it as well to the HR24-100

 

Pushed to me last night.

Paused playback during episode of "The Tonight Show". It paused like I hit pause, but I did not. Eventually showed KOD. This happened at just over half way through. Playback bar showed that there was 47 minutes total video. Playback stopped at 25 minutes.

 

I recieved my push at 12:30 est

 

Got the push on my HR24-100 around 12:30 AM although it was 0x3E1 and not 0x3E2.

That is the right version this week...

 

So far so good on my HR24-100 with the rc. System test OK, apps work, mrv works fine with my HR22 that is on last night's ce to include tp, scrolling speed within guide is fast as well as scrolling in other areas that need it. From my stand point this is ready.

Issue: Screen Flicker on Channel Change
Well, when changing channels, there is still a slight flicker of the previous channel after the new channel's Info Bar has appeared. The flicker does seem to be less than it was previously as it is very difficult to make out what is on the screen.

Issue: TV Apps Issue - My MLB Team
Still having an issue with this app. I have the same app on my R22 and it is working fine. On the HR24, when I select to view the Standings, I get a message that standings will be available during the regular season. I'm fairly certain I am using the main TV Apps site for both receivers.

I got the push for my H24-700 at 12:28 a.m. e.s.t.
NO pulling grom me. I figured i'd wait 'til tonite if it didn't come. So. I was lucky I guess, Who knows if it will be out there tonight anyways??

With respect to everyone....I still don't understand why some are so impatient. *shrug*

 

Actually....we checked with Doug...and he indicated it was OK to pull if it wasn't received by a certain time.

Since some folks did not get the last update, there was some limited interest in getting it pulled down instead of waiting for that reason.

HR24-100

Right in the middle of playing back the US Open and about 45 seconds after ffx3 past a long "feel good" piece the unit froze. Remote worked and I could get to all menu items. Returning to live netted me a blank screen and no audio. Sent a report and then reset the unit. Once back to normal had to restart the recording of the US Open and I resumed watching at exactly the point it froze and is running now without issue.

Wanted to add that in playback after the reset, the recording stopped at exactly the instant that I noticed my playback freeze. This again makes me feel that these freezes which stop playback but still allow menu to function are related to hard drive issues in these units. Next time it happens I am going to listen closely to the unit to see if the hd is turning or not.

Issue: Lag with Screen Graphics
Well, the issue of a lag when pulling up the Guide or PlayList or exiting them has returned. When hitting List or Guide, there is a 3.5 second delay before they appear. When hitting Exit to clear them, all text disappears, but the blue background remains for 3.5 seconds before it clears. This issue was here once before, but was corrected.

Pushed to me last night

OK, my HR24-100 has froze up again while recording the US Open. This time it only got about 30 minutes in from the 3 pm EDT start of the recording and that was it even though it says it has recorded 2.25 hours. I have done an rbr and will restart the recording as soon as it comes back up. This unit has really done well up until the rc firmware of this week and now it has froze on recordings 2 times in 2 days. Same symptoms as yesterday, recording was playing back and just stopped. The record light is on and today I listened and it sounds like the hd is turning. Any attempt to go to live is met with the blank screen and no audio. All menu functions work from remote and faceplate.

 

I received the push @ 11:35 PM CST. HR24-100.

I am happy I got the push, it is the only receiver I have on a current CE because of being out of town.

 

Now what I have noticed on several recordings made since the rc firmware was loaded Friday is the beginning of recordings are very choppy, stops and starts and skips 30 seconds to a minute of stuff when playback finally starts. Once it settles down there are fairly frequent, about every 5 minutes, interruptions in the audio and video. Since I double record on the HR22, I have watched the same shows and do not see any of these issues. I hate to say this, but if it isn't my HR24-100 going bad, this rc is worse then the previous ce's.

The box froze and then restarted on it's own while my wife was watching live TV on one tuner and it was recording something on the other. She said the picture froze but the audio continued for a short while until it rebooted without her doing anything.
