I have to learn the proper order to do things. I get home from vacation last night to my HR24 on my doorstep. I immediately open it and install it, then I come here. Going forward, the last two steops will need to be reversed.

OK, Doug... just got home and although my account says HR24-500 the box says HR24-100. Should I assume that the box was right and not even bother installing this one?

    Thanks!

I think they put in 500's because the -100's are technically not in the system yet.

    Dripping...
System shows my HR24-500 as a HR22-100, I don't think it matters at all what they call it as far as operation is.

I suspect we'll hear something very soon as to the swapout timeline.

I would guess we will get a CE download this weekend and then Tues. or Wed we will start getting our new ones. (With the old FW.)

    Lower...
Fingers-crossed that once there is a new f/w release for the round two h/w, it will stay in the stream so we can go out and get it next week, if need be.

Up to you, but it might be worth waiting a few days if you don't wanna go through the process twice.

I think I'm going to try to connect it tomorrow... I'm just going to swap a couple around, and I can program it once the replacement arrives.

    Thanks!

I haven't looked @ my recordings, been too busy all week. I just looked @ my equipment & everything appears to be the same(although the initial pick was of a silver DVR, now it's black). So i should still be able to view whatever is on there over the weekend and clear it out prior to shipping it back right?

Until the replacement comes, you should be able to use the current one without issues.

If you discount the freezing issues with recordings.

That's why mine is still boxed and ready to go back. I am anxiously ready to fire up the new one whenever we get them.

Same here. I even still had the original box as my boys hadn't gotten their hands on it yet.

I had one recording on the 24 that was not on the 22, so I watched it by not ff through commericals. Still had periods of pixilation but it did not freeze. Watching commericals, uch :new_cussi

I have switched my HR22 back into the prime viewing location and moved the 24 into the kitchen where it will just be a receiver. Once we get the new one, I will do another switch.

My HR24-100 needed a reboot and never recovered.:( It go to the choose your language screen and then I got to a screen telling me it needed authorization. I sent a PM to Doug but I think this one is going into the box until the new one arrives. I don't see wasting a bunch of Doug's time or the folks at DirecTV to reauthorize it if they are going to be replaced anyway.

Thanks again and I can't wait for the first push on these.

Scott, have you tried to reauthorize it online?
