HR24-700 Just got Deactivated

    Hi all,

    So my HR24-700 just rebooted and is now saying I need to call to activate. It had been running smoothly. Is anyone else seeing this, or is it me? Many thanks. ps- yes the bills are paid :lol:

    Edit... that's the HR24-200... got confused with that H24...

    Have you tried refreshing your unit from the DIRECTV website?

    Refreshed, but no changes... I never saw the receiver reset after refreshing though. Other ideas??

    This happened to me with the HR24-100 when I first got it. IIRC, Doug had to ask the folks at DirecTV responsible for the field test to re-activate it.

    Yup, Scuba_tim, send a PM to Doug, Stuart, and/or I with the RID/Access Card info.

    I thought I would chime in as well, I had the same thing happen to my HR24-100. I worked through several potential solutions with Doug but in the end the Directv folks replaced the box because it just wouldn't come back from the light... :lol:

    Seriously, at this point, anyone who is having activation issues, please PM me (or another mod if you think I'm a big meany) with your receiver ID and access card numbers. We'll take care of you.

    Unfortunately, I had that same experience with my earlier HR24-100. :(

    I guess I'm a bit relieved to know I wasn't the only one that had that happen. Hopefully in this case it will just take a re-authorization to get things back up and running.

    While we're still working on the issue, one crazy thing is that I can still watch previously recorded shows via MRV. The receiver lost it's label, and shows up as a number instead, but all shows are fully viewable. Not sure if that's a bug or a feature...

    Same thing when it happened to mine, I could see and play all of the recordings but instead of the common name I gave the box the recordings were all labeled with a number.

    They'll get you fixed up, I look at it as just part of the field trial process. ;)

    Same thing happened with my earlier HR24, I couldn't figure it out, why if it wouldn't complete the boot up process I could still use it for MRV but it still worked.

    It is true that the mods will help you out. They did with me. They are good folks.

    Same thing just happened to my HR24-200. It's been just fine since the day I received it. No complaints whatsoever. I just ran out for about an hour and it was sitting at the dish configuration screen just like it came out of the box the first time.

    I'm stuck at the screen "To complete your service activation...".

    I tried refreshing services twice from the website. Guess I'll PM my infor to Stuart and see what he says.
