I am getting my Hr34-700 Friday. There is no installer coming. A couple of questions:
What the best way to activate it. Just call in or ask for Case Management?

I bought it at USADigitalHD. Should I expect or ask for any rebates or discounts?
    Is that the proper term?

    TIA for your help.

Just call in, but don't expect any rebates or discounts.

I agree, just call the regular number and tell them you're activating a new receiver. My rep didn't even ask for the model type -- just the receiver ID and last four of the card -- and then only asked if it was an addition or replacement.

    NY Hudson...
Got couple of Q for you. The HR34 will bring you up to how many tuners in your service? Is your service setup for SWM?

Did you look into the cost to buy thru D directly before buying through the company you did?

I will be getting a HR34 soon and will start looking into where to buy shortly.

Right now, for existing customers you cannot obtain an hr 34 from directv. I got mine from IUSADigitalHD also (they had stock and Value Electronics and Solid Signal didn't). Price is the same from any of them. USADIGITALHD was good to deal with; had I not missed out on the preorder I would have gotten from VE.

Find an independent retailer with stock on hand, if you can.
