HR44/500 keeps losing internet connection

    How old is your Router? You might try re-setting that our check for a firmware update if it's older than 3 years you might try a newer model.

    My brother has a new cable modem/router/wifi and has the same issue with his HR44. They have three clients and an HR24. The HR44 is CAT5 connected. It was connected with a CCK. When they switched from CenturyLink to Cox he bought the new modem and direct connected it. It was mentioned in an earlier posted about being sure the CCK was no longer connected when switching to CAT5. His was still connected.

    I had router replaced by Spectrum a month ago. Dtv tech was out yesterday and setup a hard wire connection between one of my HR24s and my router. They were on opposite sides of a wall. He drilled a hole in the wall and ran a Ethernet cable thru a Deca adapter. I was originally told that the Ethernet connection had to be between the HR44 and the router which in my case was not possible. Now my HR44 and my two HR24s are talking to each other. He said the only time I will lose connection is when the internet goes down. I hope this fixes the problem. Time will tell.
