Occasionaly a digitized bar comes across the screen, making the program unwatchable.

I haven't been able to determine if the program was recorded this way or if it's some other kind of interference. No storms present! 20171110_054444.jpg 20171110_054444.jpg 20171110_054444.jpg 20171110_054444.jpg

    Is my HD54-500 going bad?

Does it happen on live TV ?
Have you played other recordings and do they have this also ?

Have you reset the receiver with the red button and then see if it is still there ?

You should also try disconnecting the HDMI cable and reseating the ends back into the TV and the receiver.
That looks like noise that could come from a flaky connection.

We did a reset twice in a row last night, thinking that used to clear the "Cache". We don't know what we are doing, just trying to think of all possibilities. Thank You!!

I am looking at it now it does not have that on my TV.

Go into settings on your TV and in the Audio section, check to see if it has DNR ( Digital Noise Reduction ).
If it does turn it on or move it to a higher level and see if that affects it.

What happens if you pause the picture and then resume ?

Are you hooked direct from the receiver to the TV or going thru an AVR ?
If you are connected to an AVR, then try bypassing it with the HDMI cable and see if that helps.

Can you go back and see the same thing? In other words can you replicate the lines by clicking back? If you can, the issue is in the broadcast. If you can't...you really have a problem. Take this step and get back to us...
