HR54 Replacement 4K Issue

    I just had my HR54 swapped out to address an issue. On my 4 mini’s I’m getting a message not authorized try later or call a # for help when I try to tune to 4K on 104.

    Does it just take awhile or does Directv need to do something?

    You need to call DIRECTV and have them reauthorize 4K service.

    Thanks. That’s just stupid IMO. Should be automatic, but what do ya do.

    There was a thread on this in the last week......Ch 104 Error 721. That may help in resolving your issue.

    Note- although we may be football enemies as neighbors during the NFL season, I’m happy to help outside of those times during the year! :)

    I did manage to get 4k 104 going again after a chat with support last night. It was slow and painful discussion but she finally got it.

    Glad it worked out. I've had 4K service since 2016. I remember it took four attempts for them to finally authorize it on my account.

    The authorization for 4k is done once the receiver gets its update. Customer service can't do that. If you wait the download happens on its on.
