All day today the video will just stop every 30ish minutes of live TV. The only way to fix it is change the channel and going back. I have reset and it still does it. Any tips?

I had the exact same issue start within the last couple of days.

I have experienced sporadic freezing on a variety of channels. In most cases it lasts a few seconds and clears itself up but there have been times when I had to change the channel and go back to correct the issue.

I just posted a similar freezing problem on my HR20 watching recorded football games. For me, this just started today and I've spent many hours watching football these past few weeks. As far as I can tell, they only happen on local channels via DTV--not OTA.
When you get these freezes, try search back and see if it repeatable. If it is repeatable, and a football game with a timer, you could look on your timeline and the playclock and see if the freezing time is equal on both. On my recorded shows---they are not.

Four post with similar issues. I would not be surprised if the HDDs are going south. Or they're all near full. In the course of a day I'll use 3 HRs. Two have SSDs in them. I see nothing wrong on the SSD HRs. I don't use the other one very much but I have an empty HDD in that and don't see any issues. I'm watching a lot of games on D* these days and the two HRs with the SSDs are running as well as my Apple TV boxes...in fact, I see more problems with the ATVs than I do with the two HRs. Again, I'd be looking at the HDDs. If this was a software problem I'd think I'd see it.

4 HDD with the exact issue seems unlikely ...... plus others with the same issue on the other site? It also happened last night on my H24.... no HDD there.

It seems to be on local channels only.

I doubt it's a HDD issue. The HDD on my HR54-200 is 76% free.

Was it only one channel or Local channels only? Have you tried watching another channels?

Same issues here during the Texas/OU game on Fox and then LSU/Florida on CBS. I'm on aN HS17 with 91% free space so not the HDD.

I experienced the same on my HR44 while watching the TX/OU game. I wasn't switching around much and I saw the issue only on the local channels. I could doubleplay to same channel and everything was good. Doubleplay back and the picture was still frozen.

After the TX/OU game I went to a business and they were experiencing the same on the LSU/Florida (local channel). Can't speak for their equipment.

My firmware: 0x1104; date 8/9/18 (don't know if that's the firmware date or the date it was installed.) Haven't seen the problem since Saturday.

I've seen this numerous times on BBC America, on a system with an HR54 + two C51s. Switching to another channel and then back seems to resolve it - until the next occurrence. I don't recall exactly when this started - but two weeks seems about right.
