I have a HS17 with 2 C61k and 3 c51 minis. I purchased a new 4k TV for my xbox and want to get a mini to get tv also. I was told initially I could only have 2 C61k(4k TV) at a time but I hear there are some that have 3.

For the new TV, should i get another C61k or C41W. By the way, there is no cable connection, so I need wireless, so I may have to go with c41w?

I assume since I have HS17 and have to use the C41W I dont need the wireless video bridge?

Also, I assume if I call Directv they will charge me $99 and want to roll a truck to install? I recently upgraded so have a new 2 year contract. I could probably buy from solid signal and install myself and activate?

    Thanks, Jim

I can only answer 1 of your questions.
You can have more C61k minis, but, you can only watch 4k on 2 of them at a time.

The limit is being able to watch or record two 4K programs simultaneously, which is probably why you heard you can only get two C61Ks. You can get more, but you won't be able to have all three watching a 4K program at the same time (even if it is the same 4K program) One would have to watch an HD program if you want all three turned on at once.

may be there is another "bug" and two life channels could be accompanied by third from a storage ?

I don't know if they've ever said there is a limit of two if you are watching recordings. Maybe there is, but if so there's no technical reason for such a limit (at least not if it is using DECA 2)

Unless you run coax to that room, you're not going to get 4K in there. The C61K is wired only. AFAIK, there's no 4K wireless clients.
