"Hulu management has discussed recasting Hulu as an online cable operator that would use the Web to send live TV channels and video-on-demand content to subscribers. The new service...would mimic the bundles of channels now sold by cable and satellite operators."

I think Hulu would be a very welcome addition in this area.

Welcome to metered/tiered home broadband, if this happens.

As I transition from (very expensive) cable to cheap/free IPTV, that is exactly what I am concerned about. When I drop all four premium movie packages soon in favor of Netflix, Hulu and such, do I think Comcast will notice that at the same time my Internet usage has substantially increased? Yes, I do, and that is of concern.

I wouldn't be surprised if, as my cable bill goes down, I see my Internet usage charges increase, even though I have the full bundle of cable, Internet and phone. If they don't get you going in, they'll get you coming out! That is pretty much guaranteed. TINSTAAFL*
