Hmmm .. watch it through and see if it fails again.
H24 took push download, when it went to restart, it went into standby. When I noticed and brought it out of standby, its downloading the software again.
HR24 sitting at 94% for over five minutes now....went into standby once so far and responded to remote power on, but still hung at 94%:nono2:
Edit: Finally...after over ten minutes at 94% and one trip into standby, the download continued and completed
I wish mine did too. It's a long day every Friday.
Both boxes received the push and completed the download without issue. Both in standby for the night. I'll do some testing over the weekend.
There are both positives and negatives to an 8pm download time.
It looks like the second time around it finished. It's now on step 1 of 2.
Second time was the charm. Download completed and back to live TV now.
Both were successfully pushed and I'm ready to test.
I went to check on mine after all the HR2x's updated and found it turned off (it had started the download while I was updating the HR2x's). I turned it on and it was at 30% - should have been finished or close as it was downloading as I started the last of the HR2x's. Anyway, it finished and all is fine - I left the network to accept the ip from the router, so networking was running when the reboot completed.
Woo hoo! OTA channels now show up correctly and I have audio on OTA recordings on my H24! Way to go DirecTV!
now, speaking of OTA, will we see an AM24?
by chance did anyone's box (H24) besides mine done a automatic switch to a static IP address after the download? i haven't checked the HR24 yet to see if that happened to it to or not. but i did not have these boxes setup to be on a static address.
Mine was already on static, but it says its connected which it isnt. Restored defaults, and it says its connected to some hokie ip address, so trying a reboot. Same as last two CE's, just wont stick with a static IP at all for me.
Both H24 and HR24 received the push successfully.
For the first time ever on any box I had... Network services got themselves working all on their own.. I hadn't bothered on this box yet to mess with it, but on all mrv other hr's, I have always had to manually set the service ports.. But I see the HR24 has now figured them out on their own!
The HR24-500 got it, I can't say if the H24-100 got it since it isn't on the Slingbox. I'll let you know on Sunday.
Interesting...headed out to the CES this morning, and the H24 was back on when I checked.....still has the new automatic pushout update...but turned on again on its own....or maybe I did it in my sleep.
Otherwise, all operations and settings still in place and working well.
Maybe you need to dial back that telekinesis a bit.
Mine pushed last night around 2310, soon as it started, I downloaded the rest of my HR boxes. After initial test this morning, my severe break-up is gone. Will test more today.
Remote response has become really iffy, which screws up trickplay.
Guess I'll reboot it and see what happens.
At least MRV works much better on this release, but still need to trickplay the audio to get it going.
Also still have that little audio burp (e.g. bringing up the Guide).
