H24 does not maintain network connection upon reboot with static IP. Have to reset network settings and then reboot - diagnostic after reboot.

    HR24, report 20100115-12FF

Deca network still did not work after this CE, so I did a reset everything. That resolved the problem and deca networking is again functional on my HR24.

I'm not going to try assigning or changing IP for now - that's what screwed me up before. Good news is I dedicated an IP in my router based on HR24 mac address, and it did pull the correct one.

Using TVersity Media Server (pro edition) version 1.6.0.0 I started by Photos -> My -> and I waited for the browsed photos to fill the screen then I pressed Shuffle All. After a period of time the obligatory error came up, "There are no files in this folder." Which as I could see on the screen was incorrect, to I retried the Shuffle All which didn't work a total of 4 times, on the 5th time the H24-100 locked up. After doing the RBR I ran the report.

    Media Share

Using Viiv Media Server I started by Photos -> Shuffle All (with Viiv there is no preview screen; this is different from TVersity). Media Share began showing random photos of 10,000 photos as indicated on the progress bar on the bottom of the screen. Within 10 minutes of showing random photos the H24-100 locked up.

    Media Share

Using TVersity Media Server (pro edition) version 1.6.0.0 I went into Photos -> My -> and waited for the browse screen to fill before pressing Shuffle All. Once I had done this the screen came back after the progress bar was done and gave the error message, "There are no files in this folder." Obviously since the browse screen had pictures being shown on the screen is not the case. So, in similar fashion to the H24-100, I pressed Shuffle All again for a total of 6 times on this HR24-500 and on the 6th time it locked up.

Using Viiv and starting Photos -> Shuffle All (again, like the H24-100, there was no browse screen) and the HR24-500 began serving pictures on the screen of 10,000 as indicated on the progress bar. After about 25 minutes of serving photos the HR24-500 locked up.

    Diagnostic Report: 20100116-2517 HR24-500

I am watching "How It's Made" recorded at 9:30p.m. on 1/15.

When I FW the picture freezes but the progress bar moves. I can't see where to hit play.

It does the same thing in RW.

When I hit play, the audio breaks up for about a second.

EDIT: It FW/RW normally on live TV and on other recordings.

Continue to have the problem with Media Share, viewing JPEG's, from a Vista SP2/WMP system, thumbnails show triangle with yellow ! and if you select a folder get unable to access media, generated report. This works fine from a Windows XP/WMP system.

    HR24, Report id: 20090116-2DEA

Did not stay up to watch the download last night. Machine was in standby. This morning, the unit would not come out of standby with remote or by pressing the front panel. (BTW, I really hate buttons like this with no tactile feedback. When they don't work, you are never really sure that you have pressed correctly.)

I used the red button to reboot, and the machine went through normal reboot sequence. It then did respond correctly to remote input. It did receive the update of 0x395 last night.

    HR24-500, report 20100116-5FB

Picture freezes during FF or rewing, and during slip forward. No matter what FF/REW speed picture is frozen. If I pause and frame forward, that works.

Edited to update: When playing something recorded on another DVR via MRV, trick play works properly (HR24 is client). When playing something recorded on HR24 on another unit (H21 is client, HR24 is server), trick play does not work properly (picture is frozen). So, if it is recorded on HR24, the frozen frame during FF/REW is there regardless of where it is viewed (local or mrv remote). If it is recorded on another DVR, FF/REW works properly regardless of where it is viewed.

Second edit/update: Now I've got intermittent functionality of FF/REW, in other words sometimes it works properly, and sometimes I have the frozen picture.

    Server: HR22-100 20100116-958

I recorded the HDNet test pattern last night and I wanted to test how far it advances out of FFx2 when you hit play. It was at 7:15 when I hit play to get out of FF and when it came to live TV it was at 6:55. That is 20 seconds jump. :eek2: Is there a way to correct that or not?

Got the latest software push on my HR24.

Still have occasional issue where the DVR acts like the remote is "stuck" and keeps trying to repeat the previous action, like scrolling down the Playlist. But it's not the remote. If I hide the remote I still continue to see the DVR's front panel light blink like it's a receiving a remote signal. Pressing EXIT on the remote will make the behavior stop.

Yeah, that's the same thing I've been reporting for a few CE's now. EXIT stops it for anywhere from a few minutes to a day or so but it seems to recur eventually. A reboot stops it for a day to about three days. I had it just last evening on the previous release but haven't seen it yet since last night's update.

Before last nights forced download I checked and all the DirecTV on Demand channels that should be in the guide were there.

Today at 15:14CST, which was almost 17 hours after the download, I checked the guide and the only channels listed were 1000, 1090, 1100 and 1999. I generated report 20100116-1CC2 of the box in this state.

I then did a double reboot to flush/rebuild the guide and when I checked the guide at 16:48CST many of the DoD channels and content for those channels were in the guide again. I generated report 20100116-1F3A at that point.

Other issues, when you select a DoD program there is no option to add it to the queue.

In the manage recordings menu there is no line for QUEUE listed.
