I often use the active button to see what is on. I am always shocked (though I shouldn't be) at how popular Fox News is. I think it says something about DirectV demographic. Hannity and O'Reilly drive me nuts although I know they have good ratings. I wish active showed 10 most watched channels in each category.

I believe that information is coming from Nielsen not just DirecTV.

Since there is only one Fox News Channel, but many ABC affiliates, does that affect the ratings?

However, the fact is that the cable networks often get better ratings then the networks. Even more so now in the summer.

I also have noticed that, but I always watch Fox news at least they don't get tingly feelings up and down their legs when Obama speaks like some of the others.

I think it's because Conservatives seem to enjoy rallying around and in support of like-minded people. They flock to Fox News to see criticism of Liberals and our President. Liberal viewers are sometimes more open-minded to news and maybe don't need to feed their anger, or lack-there-of, of the opposite side.

I can't see this thread, which started off badly and politically charged, going anywhere but places we can't go at DBStalk.

So this thread is closed before it can become too unbalanced and unfair.

    Cheers,
    Tom
