I'm still curious about this, and not in a negative way either. I would be very interested in seeing the tech behind this and how it's working exactly..

If anyone has a link, please post it. Or pm me.

    Thanks.

I hooked up 2 C31's about 3 nights ago, can agree with others.. much slower then the previous hardware they replaced (H25's).

There's nothing official that I'm aware of, and I believe it would fall under the "unsupported" category. This operation was verified while the HR34 was in beta testing, and I can verify the functionality today. You can also search the site and find several users using the HR34 as a "bridge."

    Dripping...
I'm just passing that along from what I heard from someone that works for DIRECTV ( and isn't an installer ). I was a HR34 tester and yes the Ethernet port will bridge traffic and I didN't have any problems with it. But I did go back to a DECA-BB for bridging networks since if the HR34 is down other devices on the network lose their connection to my network.

Thanks for the heads up guys, I'm reading about this MoCA and seems like a good idea to me.

Count me in as using the HR34 with 3 HR24's and one ethernet connection directly to the 34 without any problems. No bbdeca for me.

I installed a C31 about 2 days ago and find there's virtually no difference between H25 and C31 responsiveness. Both are "fast" (IMHO) and have very little "lag" compared to corresponding operations on the HR24 and/or HR34.

All of my devices (HR34, HR24, H25 & C31) are DECA connected with a single BB adapter connection to my home network. Also, during my installation process, I turned the C31 off just after I had "paired" it with the HR34. When I turned it on again, I received a blue screen with a message that said something like "Software Update Downloading". Unfortunately, I can't compare before/after C31 performance since it happened during initial setup.

Just as an update my "power on" issues with C31 are resolved. Got a new router but before I put in I replaced Linksys firmware with DD-WRT latest for my router and all is looking good for past 12 hrs or so. Not sure what the problem was as I reloaded Linksys firmware also, but I guess being about 3 years old it makes a diference.

As far as the system goes I love all the options, the C31 don't seem slow at all. Just little delay if I am watching the same channel on C31 and HR34 but that is due to the network.
