    Hey guys its RED,

    Heres the latest news-
We got the new splitters yesterday So today I replaced the old one and I moved the PI to the master bedroom. That bedroom is working good and as of right now everything is up and working.
The spare room with no receiver is the only one that tests to be having " LF " none of the other lines have it.
We did have a hiccup about ten mins. after I put the new splitter in. All the receivers went black did a reset and they came back up

    So far so good

So here are my findings after making the switch to Skywalker splitters, and checking the system again this morning.

After the change was made the system shut down once. This was the only time so far. Now I have an HR20-700 after the PI, before I couldn't do that. The reciever would find no signal and lock up. Now the reciever is showing all the same levels as my HR21-700. Since I am using a 4-way Skywalker now this setup is really simple. Though 2 of my four lines right now test without " LF " they work. What's weird is the RG6 cable after the PI tests without " LF ", but the RG6 cable direct from the splitter tests with " LF ". I took the line out of the HR20-700 again this morning, and it still tested without " LF ". Plugged it back in and the picture came back up immediately. My HR21-700 was also working perfectly this morning. I am not sure it will still be up when I get home tonight, but before it would have been out this morning if there was going to be a problem. I am going to add a R16next week to this system and see if it fires right up. my H21 also now test's with otu " LF " but works perfectly. All IRD's show the SWM and the version. So far so good. Now I may never have to switch splitters again, but can I put another SWM8 in this system if I need more recievers?

The question would be "where are you going to get the four SAT feeds for the SWM8?"

A splitter. Like SWMLine> to 4-way and then each line split by 2 way spliters, 4 to the existing IRD's and PI,and the 4 other lines to the SWM8. This is just a question out of curiosity right now. Could it be done though. I think both would have to have thier own PI. If I had one I would try it.

 So you're "thinking" of splitting the SWMLine single feed to the input of a SWM8? [which won't work].
You can run two SWM8 off a Slimline by splitting the four feeds, but after the "SWM" part, what is there is all under control by the SWM, so there is no way to have another SWM get all of the signals it would need for "it's" eight channels [tuners].

On another note: can you post some more info about the "LF" issue?
I'm trying to figure out whether it's the meter or what.
Did you say that it fails after the PI, but not after a splitter connected to the PI?

Yea it fails after the the PI (we will call this leg 1) the line on leg 2 passes, the line on leg 3 fails, the line on leg 4 fails the test. Now if you move the PI to leg 2 the line on Leg 1 passes, but then the line on leg 2 fails. When I read through the installation instructions. All lines should pass. Mine do not, but all my legs have IRD's on them right now, and all have booted up. All the the IRD's show the SWM info.

nope.. can't stack them... if you needed more than 8 ports it's either a second SWMLine dish or back to the old paralled external SWM8s..

ok guys more issues HR20-700 on the PI leg went dead sometime after 6:00pm est and all recordings after 600pm went to cancelled or not avalible. This is one of the lines that test with no "LF"
It looked for the software for tonights CE for about 15 mins before finding it. When the download hit 85% the reciever went black and the tv said no signal. When the reciever came back up about 2 mins later the download was at 90% system test was run everything is up will watch more tomorrow
