Internet Connected, great speed test, but zero VOD

    It’s been seen to fix bizarre issues before. It won’t hurt anything to try it, so at this point, I’d try it.

    I had the same problem with ffc. I just downloaded 1036 two days ago, and VOD is working fine now.

    It was a little frustrating. I had also lost the channel icons in the guide. I was almost ready to revert back to 0x0d8f until I saw that 1036 was available. So far so good with it. Seems to be more responsive/quicker also IMO. Larger channel icons in the guide so much easier to read sitting on the couch.

    Having the same issues.

    We have genie 2 with 4 c41 clients.

    We had our Genie 2 server replaced exactly 2 week ago for:
    Lipsync issues on every tv.
    5-8 seconds channel change time.
    Client loses signal multiple times during day.
    After watching a show from list, exiting results in no audio untill changing the channel twice.
    Clients took 45-75 seconds to aquire signal, every power up.
    The list goes on and on.

    Ever since the new server we have had ZERO access to VOD. We are still experiencing a horrible user experience with the new server. The lag is atrocious. I posted in a thread I found on the DirecTV support board. Basically it has useless info, but i thought I'd link to it.

    Just had a tech out. He put in a new DECA, but I doubt that'll make any difference. I'll call him tomorrow to let him know if it helped. May be looking at a Genie replacement, which means I lose all my recorded shows :(

    Running HS-17/100 with software 1001 (I'm not on any early software push lists)

    How do you download new software to an HS-17? According to DirecTV Firmware Watcher I'm running the current version, 1001.

    Yea, I love these threads here and for other products about how bad things have gotten through new ownership or new managers but if people went back to old threads the complaints were the same.

    Still no On Demand. Still no logos. Still fully "connected to the internet".

    I'm getting all the posters, and apps work perfectly. Guess I need to wait for 1036.... (or look for it in the stream in the wee hours of the morning)

    As I said in an earlier post, I had the exact same issue with my HR44-700 with 0x0ffc. Didn't have on demand. Internet speed tested great. Apps were working. VOD was working on my two HR24's just fine. Did a clearmybox search which resulted in losing the channel logos in the guide and did not bring back VOD. Did a few more clearmybox searches and also just restarting the receiver - no change. I forced 0x1036 early in the morning earlier this week and all is good again with VOD and logos. Hopefully you will get 0x1036 pushed to you soon and it will resolve the issues with your HS17.

    Pulled down 1036 at 5am EST today. Everything works now!
