Anyone else have problems with the Masters broadcast yesterday? Watching on CBS channel 2 from Chicago when the picture began breaking up and eventually went to the yellow screen during the last half hour. After awhile it came back briefly then lost it again for several minutes. Got it back as Tiger was playing 18th hole and it stayed on after that.

All our other Chicago channels were okay, as were various other channels I checked, so I don't think it was related to the snowstorm we were having locally. That leaves a problem in Augusta, where heavy weather was west of the golf club, or a problem with transmission from channel 2 in Chicago. Haven't had a chance to check with friends who have DTV or Comcast yet.

A yellow screen on an OTA channel carried by DISH is seen when they are having problems receiving that station at their local receive site. The problem may be with weather related (between the station and the receive site) or may be a problem at the station itself. After a few minutes DISH normally switches to a "we are aware of the issue and are working to resolve it" error page fed via satellite. Different carriers normally have their receive sites in different locations or may get a direct feed from the station, so the issue probably didn't affect other carriers.

Problems at the source (such as the feed from the golf course or from the network to the station) would not result in a yellow screen.
