Is any 3D programming still available on DTV ?

Two years ago, I could and did tune in 3D movies, although back then it was mostly as a test to see if it worked. It did.

Curious, is there still any 3D programming available, or has it been completely dropped by DTV ?

I've got a good Sony TV, capable of playing DTV 3D (although it wouldn't play the "side-by-side" type of 3D from Netflix). If the programming is still available, will all the current DVR's from DTV support it?

Very sad, this reminds me of the phone calls to DTV a couple of years ago to discuss this, back when the person at the other end of the phone actually understood what was going on. Hard to find anyone like that nowadays.

I thought there was a 3d ppv movie channel. But it might have been dropped with the new 4k channels ...

The last 3D PPV channel was dropped a long time ago. I think it was ch 103. It was the lone hold up from the 3D channels but it is long gone.

The 3D experiment failed, and TV OEMs quit caring about it when something else came along (4K) that they could use to get everyone to buy a new TV. It'll probably come back again later next decade, when they've squeezed all the life they can out of 8K TVs and know that they aren't going to be able to sell anyone on 16K TVs...

They'll argue that 3D is way better than last time because of the higher resolution

    I'm holding out for 32k 4D TV.

Yep, 103 CINE3D was discontinued back in September and its bandwidth went to 156 CINEHD.

Oh well, maybe I can find other sources of 3D, not that I was ever all that excited about it. Is there a better source of 3D available on the internet? The SBS format doesn't work for me, so Netflix wasn't useful. Maybe now it's dead all over?
